Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

Did you know, there's a term for what's preventing you from taking the plunge on that new job, a new car, or a new relationship: Fear of Better Options, or FOBO?
🧵
#decisionmaking#FOBO
It's the belief that if you don't take a certain opportunity, something even better will come along. And it's preventing you from making the decisions you need to in order to move forward with your life.
Fear of regret drives FOBO. We hold back from taking action, trying to find the perfect relationship, or the perfect job, instead of making a decisive choice and living with the unavoidable factors that go with it.
The problem is, of course, that perfect is rarely attainable. And the longer we wait for it, the more we miss out on opportunities to create our own happiness.
This fear stops us from making a decision at all, paralyzed by the idea that whatever choice we make may not be the best possible option. As a result, we stay stuck in indecision and stagnation.
The truth is, however, that no decision is ever final. You can always change your mind if you decide you don't like your job or if you want to move somewhere else. The only thing you're risking by making a decision is potentially missing out on some better options down the road.
So how do you overcome FOBO?
The first step is to recognize that it's holding you back. Once you're aware of the impact it's having on your life, you can start to make a plan to overcome it.
One way to do this is to set a deadline for yourself. If you're considering a new job, for example, give yourself a date by which you'll make a decision. This will help to focus your attention and prevent you from endlessly weighing your options.
It's also important to keep in mind that no situation is permanent. If you happen to take a new job and it doesn't work out, you can always quit and try something else. The same goes for relationships. If you've ever been dejected by something, you can always leave.
The most important thing is to take action. Don't let FOBO prevent you from living your life. Make the decisions you need to, and don't look back with regret.
