Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

Abstract painters are some of the most recognizable artists in the modern world. Rothko, Pollok, and Kandinsky are among the greatest artists to ever live. This week's spotlight covers one of our own digital-first abstract painters, @A_Mashiro_nft! A 🧵...
Abstract painting often ensnares the imagination of the public because it is not tied to a particular time or a specific aesthetic style. It rarely caries with it a deep political meaning or commentary on society. Instead, abstract painting cuts to the core of what art...
should do and asks viewers to observe, imagine, and feel. More than most works, it leaves its interpretation to the viewer and can be appreciated on a superficial level, but also has room for deeper reflection for those viewers who wish to engage and really study a work.
Like many of the great abstract painters, Mashiro's work explores color, geometry, patterns, and even canvas shape. In doing so, Mashiro creates digital works that are beautiful and full of details and that must be viewed several times for a person to truly explore the work.
The image in tweet 1, "Harmony 1" is a Super Rare piece and contains the elements that are most common in Mashiro's work - sweeping circular geometry, a diverse array of color and patterns within a single geometric shape, and a multitude of intersecting lines.
"Dreams of the Cove" is one of Mashiro's most recent works and simplifies the image while also incorporating strong gradients within individual sections of the work, a rare trait among Mashiro's work. It gives viewers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful geometry.
Simplifying the canvas even more is this work from Tezos, which has a strong resemblance to Kandinsky's work. All of the common elements of Mashiro's work are here, but presented on a simple textured field giving the work room to breath.
"That's My Mood Today." reminds me of another famous abstract painter - Joan Miro. We lose the patterns & the clear circles, but we still have sweeping intersecting lines that denote color changes. This work is simple compared to the artist's other work, but no less beautiful.
Don't be fooled into thinking that Mashiro's work is stylistically homogenous. Mashiro often plays with new styles, usually with Tezos work. Here is "All In the Name of the Free Spirit" a piece made to benefit Ukraine.
Stylistically, this work is vastly different from most of Mashiro's work, but we still see strong use of color and sweeping lines, though the geometry is gone, replaced by strong and frequent intersections.
"Morning Stories" is another work that seems to be experimental. Incorporating many of the hallmarks of the artist's work, but adding a grid layer à la Mondrian. This combination is wonderful and would, I think, be quite moving in large format projected on a wall.
This work, also from Tezos, maintains the large sweeping lines, but cuts the canvas into many smaller pieces than usual, creating a feeling of energy and movement that begs the eye to wonder from corner to corner, while giving the resting spot of white dead center.
We have focused on several pieces that truly play with color and in which color is a primary element. But, how effective is Mashiro's style when desaturated? Simply put - very effective. Color is gone, leaving pure geometry, giving the work an almost architectural feeling.
"Ashes and Smoke" takes the concept of the prior work and adds just a hint of color and LOTS of texture to create a magnificent work of abstract art that could be hung anywhere from a modern home to a subdued wood paneled library.
For the last piece, I present Mashiro's only open edition to date. It is being released on November 9th through Nifty Gateway. I have included it for 2 reasons - it is the artist's only open edition & the color pallet is completely unique among all of the artist's work!
Disclosures: I own some of Mashiro's editions on Tezos. In addition, on November 9, 2022, Mashiro and I have (had) a drop that we worked on together on Nifty Gateway in which I have a financial interest.
Mashiro's works are HUGE, often 4k or greater in resolution. I had to HEAVILY compress them for this thread. I strongly suggest that you view the originals as they are packed with detail. Mashiro's linktree is here: linktr.ee/A_Mashiro
