Golfers - did you know there are several different forms of inconsistency.
Learning which one you are can help you figure out appropriate improvement strategies.

The first form of inconsistency is not actually inconsistency!
What do I mean?
Sometimes, we can have consistent inputs that are just poor. E.g. player B's inputs are consistent, but they would produce less consistent outcomes (due to the occasional hosel contact) than player A
Or imagine two players with similar ground contact consistency (+/-1 inch).
Player B would achieve much more consistent outcomes (vs player A), even though they have similar ground contact variance.
Or 2 golfers hit 10 drives. Both have same dispersion circle (consistency) but player A is biased to the right
Player A hits 40% fairways and suffers much bigger misses.
Player B hits 60% fariways and has smaller misses.
Both are producing inputs that are similar in consistency
The issue with this type of inconsistency is either
🟢player is not seeing the pattern (more common than you'd think)
🟢inability to change the pattern
This is why tracking of patterns is so key!
