Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

The United States, historically critical of nations like Iran and Saudi Arabia for exporting extremist ideologies, now faces accusations of spreading its own extremist beliefs. And the criticisms are more than warranted. foreignaffairs.com/united-states/american-hatred-goes-global
In my research for a project related to Eastern Europe, over and over, I keep shaking my head, saying, "This is from the US. This came from us."
As I read articles about General Flynn in Bulgarian and find content promoting false claims from US citizens about vaccines in Romanian and multiple African countries, I've increasingly appreciated our negative impact everywhere.
American conspiracy theories, racial superiority beliefs, and antigovernment extremism have become global concerns. Countries like Australia, Canada, and the UK have even labeled some American groups and individuals as foreign terrorists.
An incident in Slovakia in 2022, where a gunman killed two people in a gay bar, highlighted the global influence of U.S.-originated extremist ideologies. The shooter's manifesto echoed sentiments from U.S.-based white supremacist ideologies.
The US has seen a rise in far-right violence, driven by ideologies and strategies rooted in American history.
The "great replacement" theory, suggesting a deliberate effort to diminish white populations in Western countries, has gained traction in the US, especially after the election of President Barack Obama.
The theory has been further amplified by the Trump administration's rhetoric. Another strategy, "accelerationism," aims to hasten societal collapse through chaos and violence.
This strategy has been adopted by various extremist groups and has inspired several acts of domestic terrorism.
The global spread of these ideologies has been facilitated by technology, allowing extremist views to gain international audiences. The 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings in New Zealand, for instance, were influenced by U.S.-originated white supremacist ideologies.
The January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol also inspired similar actions in other countries, like Brazil.
Countries like Canada have taken steps to counteract the spread of these extremist ideologies by designating U.S.-based groups like the Proud Boys as terrorist entities.
It's time for the US to address the situation. I don't need to remind anyone what we've done to countries we perceived as sending extremists here.
Bruce Hoffman and Jacob Ware advise the US to consider designating foreign neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups as foreign terrorist organizations and potentially pass a domestic terrorism law. cup.columbia.edu/book/god-guns-and-sedition/9780231558808
This would allow for the criminalization of violent acts based on race, religion, and other protected categories.
Critics argue that such designations could become politicized, but proponents believe it's a necessary step to send a clear message against political violence in a democracy.
As is often the case, people in the US fall prey to the omission bias. We are far more ready to accept greater harm from our inaction than lesser harm from our actions.
