First, we set our trigger to listen for new messages in our intros channel

CRITICAL

Filter out threaded messages

Every slack message comes with a timestamp. If a "Thread Ts" exists, then we know it's a threaded message

For this zap, we only care about the introduction, not the responses

Send the introduction to OpenAI

With a crafty prompt, we ask OpenAI if the author of the intro is a parent or would be interested in parenting advice

Notice: I want my response as a "yes" or "no" answer. This is used in our next filtering step

Only proceed when the author is marked for parenting content

Lastly, we'll send a channel message in Slack

I'm going to automate cold emails with the click of a button

First, set up one checkbox column for the first cold email

The Email 1 Date is special

It's a "Last Modified Time" column which means it updates automatically when you edit Airtable

Tell Airtable to "listen" for changes in specific fields - our checkbox column

Set your Zapier trigger for New or Updated Rows

Then specify that you're listening for changes in the Email 1 Date

Add another step for Gmail, Mailchimp, Hubspot, or any other email service provider to send the email and track the date it was sent

We use Stripe to process payments, so that is our app. Our trigger event is a new subscription

2) Filter for active payments

So I set a filter to only allow successful payments to continue in our zap

3) Find the contact in Hubspot

4) Update Lifecycle Stage to Customer

Members receive nicely formatted welcome emails in @HubSpot, but those trigger when someone goes from "opportunity" to "customer"

So we take this moment to update that lifecycle stage using the customer ID from step 3

5) Find a Gif

This is a high leverage move - use @GIPHY to find a mood-boosting gif

If your team has an inside joke about a TV show or your Christmas party, search that. We use "celebrate" for our search

And hey, we're all adults. Use rated R content (it doesn't change much)
