It took me an hour of head scratching to get my head around this, but...
VV (Visualize Value) Editions Checks by @jackbutcher are off-chain.
Since the Super Bowl, they're getting migrated or burnt for VV Originals. These are on-chain.
To reveal the on-chain VV Original, I need to migrate or burn my VV Edition to a VV Original via the official site.
Always verify you're using the right link and check what you sign beforehand.
I like on-chain NFTS, e.g., Anonymice, OnChainMonkeys, Nouns, Art Blocks, and CyberBrokers... as they are in the spirit of NFTs.
Ownership is 100% verifiable via the blockchain.
I don't need to worry about the curious case of disappearing NFTs.. because someone forgot to pay their server bills!
The more of these people burn, the lower the supply
Owners can burn multiple Checks Editions for rarer Checks Originals
