Wolf Game is one of the most popular P2E blockchain games with several NFT collections and its own native token that are all fully on-chain and operate within an Ethereum-based metaverse.

What is BrainDrops and why is fast becoming the big meta trend of 2023 for NFTs? 🎨💻

BrainDrops is a platform for AI-generated art that launched in November 2021. Its founders include Justin Trimble, Punk 2513, and Gene Kogan. The platform aims to highlight the creations of noted AI artists and encourage and teach others how to make AI art. #BrainDrops #AIart

The Genesis drop occurred in November 2021, before the 2022 NFT bull run. The project’s genesis and perhaps best-known artists are Clare Silver, Pindar VanArman, and Kogan.

Owning a full set of genesis NFTs grants holders an early minting window for future BrainDrops collections.

The BrainDrops NFTs are stored immutably on-chain and hosted via IPFS and Arweave, a decentralized storage network.

The platform is comparable to ArtBlocks but focuses on AI NFT art projects rather than generative art. The collection sizes range between 500-1000 NFTs and usually mint for 0.1 Eth.

Trading volume for AI NFTs has skyrocketed, touching on 1705 Eth, and the floor price of a full set of BrainDrops NFTs shot up from 2.22 Eth to nearly 30 Eth. It’s relatively difficult to mint an NFT on BrainDrops, thanks to the popularity of AI NFTs as of late.

BrainDrops has comparatively few collections compared to other platforms like ArtBlocks, although they’re not cheap! Collectors organize the collections by sets, including the day one set, full set, and elite set. Here’s a selection of BrainDrops projects to track.

1.  podGANs by @vanarman: 1024 AI NFTs that depict translucent and colored creatures of different forms, types, colors, and backgrounds. The floor price of this Genesis BrainDrops project is averaging 4.65 Eth.

2.  Life In West America by @rainisto: a 500-piece collection that takes inspiration from the early days and color photography. The floor price for these NFTs shot up from 0.6 Eth post-mint in February 2023 to nearly 10 Eth at the time of writing. #Photography #NFT

3.  Genesis by @ClaireSilver12 : a 500-piece collection arranged to tell a story, often playing on imagery and iconography related to the crypto space. My personal favorite, Socialite from Hell, depicts a regal yet creepy and faceless figure dressed in white.


4.  Brain Loops by @genekogan: a 1000-piece collection of AI-generated looping videos created with the help of a text-to-image machine learning model. NFTs from this collection cost just 0.1 Eth to mint and currently trade for 1.8 Eth on marketplaces.

5.  All AI Art Looks the Same: 14 artists worked on this project, including Claire Silver, Pindar Van Arman, and Roope Rainisto. My favorite depicts a designer falling asleep in front of her digital creations and merging into the screen.

On BrainDrops

0N1 Force is a collection of 7,777 PFP avatars that have seen their floor price bounce to ETH 2 after suffering a brutal slump during the 2022 bear market.

There was a lot of hype about this lore-driven project after its launch in August 2021, which drove its average price to over ETH 6 and saw Loga Paul drop over $500k on one of the rarest 0N1s in the collection.

The collection was co-founded by Captain JR @JRArtSpace_NFT, who came up with the idea while working as a high-school art teacher.

Captain JR connected with three others to launch the project, @Strawberrywtf, @LinkedEm, and @CryptoSpaces1, on the social media platform Clubhouse.

The 0N1 Force team has several projects in the pipeline, including an 0N1 Force comic book, an online store where users will be able to create physical clothing using their IP rights, and the highly-anticipated Nano Suit NFTs that will enhance genesis 0N1s.

0N1 Force trading volume has been steadily rising since the end of 2022, as has the average sales price and floor price.

The Azuki NFT collection is a blue chip PFP project that compromises a 10k Japanese anime-style genesis collection and the 20k BEANZ secondary collection.

It's refreshing to have a blue-chip PFP that isn't cartoonish JPEGS of cute animals and apes.

The Azuki floor price has held up nicely despite the NFT bear market... and spirit Azukis regularly trade hands for six figures.

The project has impressive liquidity too.

The project’s total trading volume places it firmly in the #10 NFT projects putting it in direct competition with the industry heavy-weights such as The Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks.

The highest Azuki sale saw Azuki #9605 sell for $1.4 million dollars in March 2022.

The project was created in 2022 by the web 3.0 start-up Chiru Labs, and its development is currently led primarily by @ZAGABOND, @2pmflow, @locationtba, @hoshiboyzen, and @steamboy33.

Using the Physical Backed Token (PBT) authentication process, Azuki has launched several NFT and physical item collections in tandem, including eight golden skateboards, one of which sold for over $400k.

So @artblocks_io has launched its own NFT marketplace with native listings/delistings, with creator royalties baked in.

After all, the big use case for NFT was their ability to reward creators and artists in perpetuity and bypass gatekeepers via creator royalties.

That use case is rapidly being eroded thanks to Blur, etc.

I plan to try it out to pick up some generative art... but does the space need yet another marketplace, and how will those one differ from OpenSea, Blur, Looksrare, etc?

The Coinbase NFT marketplace didn't fare so well partly because NFT traders and buyers had no compelling reason to use it.


It'll be interesting to see if the ArtBlocks team can incentivise traders to use this new marketplace.

Wondering about the open edition NFT meta?

An open edition NFT describes a project with an open supply and distribution mechanic. Anyone can mint them indefinitely and or until the contract creator closes the mint.

The former describes unlimited open edition mints, while the latter are time-limited open edition mints.

Open edition NFTs are usually easy or cheap to mint. They're often identical in appearance. The rarity collection size and rarity of a open NFT project is set once (or if) the creator closes the mint, rather than beforehand.

Collectors can sometimes burn open edition NFTS to get unique NFTS from the creator.

An artist can create an open edition NFT project and then decide on the mint price, mechanics and when (or if) it'll close.

For an open Edition NFTs, they use the ERC-1155 rather than the ERC-721 standard. This standard enables batch transfers of tokens of NFTS, i.e., it's easy to mint multiple tokens at once.
NFT minting platforms like Zora Manifold provides artists with a burn-redeem utility.

Traitors by XCOPY
Traitors by Xcopy was a 5-minute time-limited open edition. Xcoy opened the mint briefly for five minutes, and collectors minted 51, costing $9,999 per pierce.

The @goblintown project  one of the big mints of 2022. The open edition NFT project dropped at the start of the NFT bear market in May 2022. A free mint, this PFP project captured the attention of NFT degens and maxed out at 10,000 NFTs.

Checks VV by @jackbutcher  was open to anyone to mint in January 2023. It cost just $8. Each of the NFTs looked the same at first. Butcher subsequently experimented with the metadata and created an on-chain version.

Opepen Edition is another Jack Butcher project. Butcher is already experimenting with the project's metadata and has teased turning it into a potential PFP project to followers and collectors.

Nouns and Lil Nouns DAO
Both @nounsdao  projects are examples of open edition NFTs with an unlimited minting mechanic. Anyone can mint either project without relying on a whitelist once they pay the cost of mint. The mints are open indefinately.

In the case of Nouns DAO, one new NFT mints daily, while one Lil Nouns mints every fifteen minutes. However, Nounds DAO usually costs more than 35 Eth to mint. Lils Nouns is much more affordable.

The Memes by @punk6529 comprise a series of near daily NFT mints by the space's best-known artists. A set amount of each card usually mints on Manifold.

Each card set has variable minting mechanics depending on how many meme cards a collector already owns and which type. In some cases, the Meme cards are easy to acquire. In other cases, a rarer Meme card is much more expensive.

Irish artist @kevinabosch is a noted one-of-one NFT artist. His most famous NFT Forever Rose sold in 2016 for $1.06 million. More recently, Abosch released his Open Edition NFTs following the success of Checks. These were a near-free timed open editions.

The  Nyan Balloon project by @PRguitarman was a somewhat affordable open edition mint. Collectors minted 21,191 NFTs for a modest 0.0077 ETH in January 2023. Collectors can exchange a red ballon NFT for versions with different color ballons.

Bull Run, Infected and Into the Ether @Beeple dropped these three open editions on Nifty Gateway in 2020. One hundred and twenty-three people minted Infected, 207 people minted Into the Ether, and 271 people minted Bull Run, each for $969 before the mints closed.

On February 3, 2023, musician Snoop Dogg dropped a two-minute music NFT titled “XYZ” as an homage to Sound.xyz.

They cost a modest 0.0042 Eth, and collectors minted 10498 before Snoop closed the mint. Each image and audio clip are identical, much like buying a CD or MP3... except it's an NFT.

Tezos generative NFT artists are as creative as those working on Ethereum.

They're usually cheaper and easier to collect and mint too.

You can also find a lot of well-known Ethereum artists who got their start on Tezos

Spanish artist @msoriaro with musical, digital, and photo-based generative Tezos art, and works full-time in the space. He's also released projects on Art Blocks, including Entretiempos

Also @Ciphrd, best known as the founder of FX Hash, creates generative art that mimics or depicts "life-like behaviours"

RGB Elementary Cellular Automaton is one popular example. He created this 1000 piece project in 2021

Another? @mknol is a game designer and web developer from the Netherlands. He's experimented with generative art since 2008 and has created dozens of artworks and collections.

On Tezos artists

Burning an NFT usually leads to a 20% dip in floor price of the final output.

Casing point: look at Black Boxes versus @RENGA_inc or Checks VV vs. Checks Originals by @jackbutcher or Cyberkongz Incubator vs. @CyberKongz Bebes

That's not to say don't burn, but NFT degens appreciate the speculation that comes with holding onto an opened NFT that much rarer

I had a Checks VV Edition, but I burnt it as I prefer onchain NFTs. I'm also ok with holding the final output for a while, i.e. it's not a flip

Similarly the Renga team has said they'll be prioritising those who owned the final NF,  not the black boxes

On Burning NFTs


The @digidaigaku NFT collection aims to build a whole new model of blockchain gaming known as play-to-own, and its team is being led by the mobile gaming @gabrielleydon

The Genesis collection comprises 2.02k unique Digi’s, was released as a free mint, and now has a floor price of ETH 9, a total trading volume exceeding ETH 21k, and 42$ unique ownership.

Since the Genesis launch, several other collections have been added to the project and a burning mechanism that allows genesis holders to mint new characters and goes on quests.

The most recent DigiDaigaku free mint was launched through a Super Bowl advert.

The remaining 5k Dragon Eggs are being distributed randomly to people who enter the official raffle.

Considering the backing and expertise behind the project, it's a potential NFT gaming bluechip.

On Digidaigaku

The Memes by @punk6529 is an unusual combination of memes, generative art and CC0 NFTs.

It also the most creative minting mechanics I've seen in ages. It appears to reward holders, those new into the space, and those who own other bluechips. But the mechanics keep changing.

I came across one Punk holder who sold his punk for a full set of cards

The ERC-1155 multi-token standard that enables batch transfers of Memes into the wallets of fans and true believers.

But the project is about more than those interested in NFTs already. It's an attempt to make NFTs reach people outside of NFTs.

It's also interesting to see the floor price rise even as the collection size grows exponentially.

Plus these NFTs are CC0 or creative commons so no rights are reserved so we can build, remix and distribute any way we wish.


The project reminds me a little bit of a cross @unofficialmfers and @artblocks_io
