π§π» Early Days
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Kamiya was very shy and introverted as a kid.
Being a Sindhi, she grew up with a strong familiarity with good food. She'd often travel with her parents on weekends or holidays and discover new places and possibilities.
Kamiya's mother would often say that she wished for her daughter to become a news anchor.
She set out to make this a reality by pursuing her bachelorβs course in Mass Media.
πΌ Life after college
After graduating, Kamiya went to work as a writer with @CNBCTV18Live and wrote on finance and lifestyle.
Two years later, she went on to work as a Anchor & Associate Producer for Bloomberg UTV; she wrote scripts and assisted even the videographer.

π΄ Pursuing her passion
One day, Kamiya was forced to cancel her vacation due to work. Being an ardent traveller, this feeling of living on other's terms was unsettling for her.
She made a brave decision to drop in her resignation after assessing the situation thoroughly.
At the end of 2016, Kamiya set out to start her own platform 'Curly Tales' one that would focus on bringing the experience of travelling to an audience.
She started by penning down her journey and her travel experience, but soon she started making videos.
Within 8 months of its launch, @CurlyTalesIndia took off and she started getting sponsorships and other brand deals.
Cut to 2022, Curly Tales is India's number 1 food & travel platform with over 3 million followers on Facebook, and 1.81 Million subs on YouTube.
