1/ Today marks my 14th day of playing Atlas:Earth (@AtlasEarthApp), the virtual real estate app where you earn real $USD buying virtual real estate, so here's a quick update and some observations!
2/ At the time of my last update I owned 5 parcels, that number has now grown to 12, with no real money invested into the game. This growth was fueled, in part, by #referrals (thank you!).
Also, my time to minimum cash out has decreased to just over 4 months from 12.
3/ So this bring me to what I see as an opportunity for Atlas:Earth, let me explain. I have a friend whose family owns a restaurant in Phoenix, AZ that during the height of the Pokémon Go craze turned their restaurant into a Pokéstop, drawing potential customers into the area.
4/ And while Atlas Reality is currently pursuing relationships with some businesses with the Atlas:Earth Shop and Earn program, I believe another opportunity to increase revenue and boost player rents exists in taking a page out of the Pokémon Go playbook.
5/ Atlas Reality could allow businesses, particularly small independent restaurants and coffee shops, to purchase some sort of in-game item that allows visitors to interact and earn Atlas Bucks - possibly drawing in potential customers similar to Pokémon Go.
