The first time I ever touched a computer was the true beginning of my life. Since then, technology, innovation, and connection to people have fueled my every waking moment. This, dear friend, is the story of rileybeans. 🧵👇

This thread will give you insight into who I am, why I do the things I do, and some images that inspire me. /1

I remember staying up late as a child, dreaming of a technological revolution. I would stare at the ceiling, thinking of how the world could be made better through technology and well-intentioned people. My life's work has led me to web3 and its communities. /2

I feel most comfortable at the keyboard. Since I learned how to string words together, I've been a writer, a creative, and a learner. Instructing others through the intersection of creativity and technology is one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done. /3

Why am I good with tech and security? Probably because it allows me to escape from the rest of the world. Diving deep into tech always felt like a way to tune out all the bad in the world. Being safe online is comforting because for most of my life I wasn't safe offline. /5

However, that escape has also allowed me to connect with others in extraordinary ways through games, teaching, building, friendship, or guidance. My core principles - are kindness, leadership, human rights, stewardship, mindfulness, and resourcefulness. /6

I choose to go above and beyond for you, for myself, every day. I choose this because I know that none of us can do it alone. We need each other, and if I can help you grow, it allows me to grow. Bullish on us. We are better when we have each other. I'm all in on web3. 🤝💕 /7

In 5th grade, I created a classroom newsletter with my best friend we passed around every week. When I got to middle school, I incepted the school's first-ever newspaper. I became a newspaper editor for two years in high school while helping other nearby schools start theirs./8

I didn't go to an Ivy League school, and I don't imagine one needs to attend to get a sound education, though I'm not one to knock it. Most of the education I've gotten has been self-taught or on-the-job experience. All equally valuable, in my opinion. /9

Often I read your Twitter bios and feel a bit intimidated by your experience, but then I'm reminded that we all bring insights and have value. I try to learn things from each person who follows me. When we connect, what we do together will change the world. /10

I came into this NFT/crypto/web3 space with nearly a year's worth of education on the space through videos, readings, and hands-on learning. I wasn't quite ready for what the space was actually like when I got here, but the best learning comes from doing and building. /11

Through my connections with you, I've learned that the world we are building together is what I always dreamed of as a child. We're slowly building to this massive push into a new age. We are the revolutionists; we are the technological queens. 👑 /12

Building community and leadership are essential to me. I've done so previously in scouting, global projects at work that have changed the way Top 50 companies function, building web2 community, and one of my true loves - helping others become their most authentic selves. /13

I build each day for and with BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+, the poor, the elderly, and those who struggle with technology. 🌈✨ I build because I want you to live to see the vision we all do, a better world where all have access and feel a sense of belonging. /14

The metaverse isn't just on the way, it's already here, and however excited I am for you to experience it, I'm even more excited to build it alongside you. If you have questions along the way, need advice, or need a hand to hold when you're scared, I'll be there. 🤝💕 /15
