Let's take a look at the current and major marketing tactics for Defi protocols. A common narrative is using incentives in form of high APY/APR. Is it sustainable? maybe. But we've seen over time that when the pool reduces, users tend to move to the next pool with high returns.

This has caused a major downfall in most Defi tokens and protocols because it lacks sustainability. Thanks to some new token designs e.g. Curve, Bal, etc. While good tokenomics can play its part, what can Defi achieve when it is combined with a good content marketing strategy?

Content strategy for Defi protocols. 📝Help content (Part one) Providing helpful information to people. it can be simplified in four ways. 1 Who seeks what what are people searching for? mostly knowledge. People want to know Defi, teaching them = Onboarding

Here, audience segmentation is key. who is our potential audience? Audience Motivation Defi newbies Knowledge Investors Roi Safe investment Security These are the common motivations that drive people.

Putting up content that matches audience intent increases customer loyalty, and makes them stick around and eventually use the platform. YouTube channels with many subscribers shows that people seek knowledge. Security of assets and Roi is another major trigger.

2 What channel which channel are they using to search for it? it can be on YouTube, Twitter, Google, etc. Helping them to find what they seek easily. Optimize Owned media Optimize Paid media Optimize Earned media Ps: Using a single channel might limit audience reach.

3 From whom Leverage influencer marketing and KOLs. Tips to work with influencers -Have a niche -Has built a loyal audience -Tweet and post around your product -Audience engagement and interaction -Good personality Ps- Large audience does not equate to high results

4 To what effect The effect of helping people to find information is numerous. *Increase in brand awareness *Fosters audience loyalty *Makes the brand a go-to when looking for information around that niche. *Users take action by using the platform

The world of decentralized finance keeps evolving, with different blockchains coming up, more Defi protocols will be created on them (Competition). A good product might not be known without proper marketing. Good to test and try a new marketing model. Let's continue to BUIDL
