Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

Crypto regulation on a European level has now been discussed for quite some time. In the last few weeks the proposals for #MiCA and #TFR became clear.
We believe the proposed regulatory path will have profoundly negative impact the citizens and businesses of the #EU.
1/19
Therefore, alongside global innovators in the space, we have written an open letter to set out our position clearly, and propose a new direction.
eu1.hubs.ly/y0RLf60
2/19
Our letter covers; what is at stake, common misconceptions that regulators have about the industry and the shortcomings of the proposed regulations in their current form.
3/19
What is at stake?
Simply put; Europe’s position as a leading economic power.
Rather than embrace the emerging technological revolution the powers that be seem to want to regulate it before a fraction of the full potential of change is realised. twitter.com/peterlih/status/1513123365208350725
4/19
Common misunderstandings of regulators;
i) Noncustodial (’unhosted’) wallets reduce cyber risks, break open monopolies and are essential to use blockchain based applications - financial or others.
ii) Software protocols should not be treated as companies by default.
6/19
iii) Internet native organisations which are not pure protocols should be regulated under a specialised framework.
iv) Crypto networks are an exceptionally weak tool for money laundering because of their transparency.
7/19
Essentially the drafted regulations mean;
(i) a de-facto ban of digital asset holdings
(ii) a de facto ban of building decentralised technologies
(iii) new and unbearable bureaucratic procedures to Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) in a hyper growth emerging economy
8/19
If the regulations pass in their current form it would likely cause an unprecedented brain drain from European countries not seen since WW2. The regulators initial intent behind the MiCA regulation would be undermined completely.
9/19
The signatories of this letter count on you to foster open innovation, privacy and financial freedom through a more sensitive and progressive approach to the regulation of the emerging crypto industry.
