Blue Beetle sortira au cinéma le 18 août prochain.
Le film de super héros DC suit l'aventure d'un adolescent qui découvre un Scarabée Bleu en rentrant de l’école. Il va ramener la créature chez lui et celle-ci va fusionner avec le garçon, qui deviendra un super héros.
Avec un budget colossal de 120 millions de dollars, le blockbluster promet pourtant d'être un GROS FLOP.
Et cela ne date pas d'hier. Depuis plus de dix ans, les adaptations des DC Comics n'ont jamais vraiment connu de succès, enchaînant les échecs auprès du public.
En plus du mauvais accueil des films DC, d’autres sorties estivales comme Barbie et Oppenheimer viennent totalement éclipser Blue Beetle.
Pour faire parler du film, les fans ont eu une idée brillante : inventer une campagne publicitaire de A à Z.
C'est comme ça que le Blue Beetle Burger, en collaboration avec Burger King, est né.
On peut souligner la ressemblance avec le Spider-Verse Whopper, un burger couleur rouge vif pour faire la promotion du film d'animation en juin dernier. Sauf que là, la campagne a vraiment eu lieu.
Mais attendez, ce n'est pas tout.
Pour promouvoir davantage Blue Beetle, les fans ont créé un album qui serait la BO du film avec Bad Bunny et le groupe Blackpink (un choix parfait compte tenu de la communauté de fans de K-pop massive sur Twitter).

La fausse promotion du film nous rappelle celle de Morbius, un film Marvel avec Jared Leto dans le rôle d’un vampire qui a été un échec mais qui est devenu une mine d’or à memes…

De nombreux memes avaient circulé expliquant à quel point le film était génial, alors que personne n’avait été le voir.
Il y a également eu des fausses critiques du film (parfois des vraies) expliquant que le film a cartonné.
Grâce aux nombreuses vannes et surtout cette fausse campagne, Blue Beetle a pu faire un peu de bruit sur Internet.
Et bien que les chances soient minces, on espère quand même que le film sera bien accueilli dans les salles de cinéma.
