👉 There are four main types of people who might be interested in your art:
1. Art Collectors
2. Art Lovers
3. Other artists
4. Everyone Else

1. Art Collectors
These people have an eye for emerging artists and want to invest in their future careers by buying their work when they're still relatively unknown. Collectors usually purchase to resell later, so they tend to pay less than the retail price for the piece.
2. Art Lovers
They enjoy looking at artwork and collecting pieces that speak to them personally or reflect their interests or aesthetic sensibilities. They may not have a keen eye for emerging artists but they might be drawn toward certain styles just because they like them.
3. Other artists
They are in the best position to know what is good or not in terms of art. They can buy pieces from each other because they want to support them and as they are a part of a community and share many things, it makes sense for them to help each other this way.
It's not unusual to see that some artists are also art collectors—they invest in others and wait for the return on investment later on!
4. Everyone Else
This category includes casual shoppers who aren't necessarily collectors but simply like what they see when they walk through an art gallery and want to buy something for their home.
These individuals may be more interested in the overall aesthetic than any particular artist's work—but they are the best customers! They don't discuss price, they just like it and want it!
Each type has different motivations for purchasing art, so it's essential to understand what they're looking for so that you can price your work accordingly.
