In August 2023, @SFTStudios minted out 2,000 San FranTokyo Genesis Passes.

These passes are the "key to the city", granting holders priority access to everything in the SFT ecosystem.

Originally a free mint, passes now sit at a .8 ETH floor 📈 

UTILITY//

SFT Genesis Passes currently allow holders to access the "Gacha Machine" where daily spins reward you with "Shards".

The utility of Shards has yet to be revealed 👀

According to the team, Genesis Passes will also be tied into future digital e-figurine and IP drops. 

WEEBOX//

@Weebox_Official is one of the flagship stores in SFT, focused on creating officially licensed tokenized anime figurines.

Ghost in the Shell, @0n1Force, Afro Samurai &amp; Liar Liar will be included in the Season 1 drop.

These are big partnerships from a free mint! 

PARTNERSHIPS//

SFT has partnered with @Animocabrandskk as part of a  strategic investment and partnership with @coolcats.

They will be working together to create a Cool Cats Manga &amp; expand the IP through channels in Japan with IP licensing, collaborations, &amp; vTubers. 

PFP DROP//

SFT has announced their next drop, a PFP collection called VISIONS.

Genesis Pass holders will receive a Visions PFP airdrop corresponding to their pass tier &amp; access to the discounted mint stage.

Genesis Pass rarity will affect PFP and future trait pack rarity 👀

Stevie entered the web3 space as an investor and community member, most prominently through @Azuki &amp; @DeGodsNFT 

Rather than trying to cash grab through short-term DGK collabs, he sought to create a genuine web3-native project combining urban anime, skating, and NFTs

SK8PES has been in the works for almost 2 years

The team has hosted &amp; participated in many events, including Skate the Gallery (Azuki Vegas), NFT LA, Art Basel, &amp; the Penthouse showcase 

BUILDING//

The team has also produced multiple physicals that align with the vision for SK8PES culture &amp; NFT tech

In 2023, the account reached 100 million unique Instagram users and averaged 5-20m views monthly

Confused by the latest @Azuki drop?

You’re not alone

Here’s a perspective on Elementals from someone who has held since mint 🧵 

1. Azuki holders wanted &amp; expected an airdrop in Vegas

After all the hype leading to the event, the team needed to deliver

We expected a moment very similar to the original “Check your wallet” BEANZ airdrop, which sent the floor flying last year

2. We got that moment

@ZAGABOND told us to check our wallets again, &amp; Azuki holders had an elemental bean waiting for them

So… what happened? What went wrong?

3. First, since it was expected this time around, the floor dropped after the announcement

This is nothing new

Airdrops take value off of the main collection due to value essentially being passed/spread to multiple assets

4. Next, the team announced a 2eth mint price

Shock, combined with liquidity gathering, sent floors lower as holders got set to mint Elementals

Still, sentiment was good &amp; holders expected to profit from this drop

5. The mint was rough, to say the least

Website overload combined with a short mint window caused many holders to miss the chance to mint

Presale Azuki allocation also caused most BEANZ to not have a chance at minting

No public allocation was the icing on top

6. These things are surprising from the Azuki team’s history, but not unrecoverable

Mistakes happen

But then the collection revealed &amp; chaos ensued

7. Once they revealed, we realized that the human Elementals looked uncomfortably similar to OG Azukis

This was completely unexpected &amp; made many holders feel like their Azuki had been devalued

This was the start of the true selling frenzy

8. As this panic continued, most of the community expected a big surprise announcement from the team

Specifically, we thought there was an upgrade/metamorphosis coming as a part 2 to the drop

Meanwhile, BEANZ holders felt like they were a forgotten step-child the whole time

9. What could have been better?

Hindsight is 20/20, but the team could have avoided this

- One distinct Elemental trait to differentiate from Azukis

- Excluding humans from the collection

- Longer mint window with a better chance for BEANZ to mint

- Lower mint price

10. What now?

All Azukis have been dropped a “Little Green Bean”

No one knows the utility, but we are hopeful that it changes one of the collections to help differentiate between Elementals &amp; Azukis

Price discovery can’t settle until this is achieved

11. Hold or Sell?

Many OGs don’t believe this was the end of the plan for Elementals

Some are holding on hope, or conviction, and others because they are in disbelief

Some OGs were disappointed to the point of selling now that their favorite asset doesn’t feel as special

12. How bad is it?

The community has had it’s faith shaken, which will take time for the team to restore

However, the floor price is comparable to where it sat before the Vegas hype cycle

There is no mass-exit occurring, but the team has to come through big now

13. JPB’s opinion:

Azuki always tries new things &amp; always has a vision

I don’t think they rushed a cash grab, but rather rushed a bold idea that needed more communication

I’m personally holding &amp; buying, anxiously awaiting the team’s next moves

TLDR:

- Post-hype price discovery is normal
- The team made errors in the mint and communication
- Community is shaken, but hopeful
- I believe the Azuki team will keep doing dope sh*t

Launched in September 2022, Blur is an NFT marketplace/aggregator

Users can list/buy/bid on NFTs from all ETH marketplaces

Blur was quickly popularized due to a 0% marketplace fee on NFT sales 

2. Blur Rewards

Traders were given multiple ways to gain points, which earned them reward boxes

Point Incentives:

Boxes revealed as 3 rarities correlating to different $BLUR amounts 

3. Token Drop

On Feb. 14th, $BLUR went live &amp; traders were able to claim their tokens

Users made a LOT of money that will flow back into the NFT ecosystem

At time of writing, $BLUR sits at $1 

4. Blur Foundation

The Blur Foundation was created to help foster community-led growth for the protocol

@Zeneca &amp; @PacmanBlur will act as directors

Previously, NFT marketplaces have treated users as just a revenue source

Blur found a way to improve trading &amp; drive volume while rewarding their users

When the market needed it most, they made NFT trading exciting and worthwhile

Along with the $BLUR drop, Blur announced a SECOND round of rewards 

This will drive even more volume due to the FOMO &amp; liquidity provided by $BLUR

Here's a short guide on figuring out if an OE will cook 🔥↓ 

1. The Artist

Obviously, the artist behind the OE is very important

Green Flags:
• Large following/engagement
• Well-known in art community
• History of success in art

Red Flags:
• No previous art
• Using influencers to promote
• New/small account

2. Price

A high mint price isn't always a bad thing

Compare it to the floor on their previous projects, keeping supply in mind

Generally, the higher the floor is on their collections, the higher potential the OE price has

3. Culture

Cultural relevancy is crucial to OE success

Examples: 
• Nyan Balloon by @PRguitarman is a remake of a classic meme
• Checks - VV by @jackbutcher comments on the verification meta

Most people don't care about the art as much as they care about the culture

4. Burns 🔥

Burn mechanisms for OEs drive most of the price action

Multiple burns usually lead to a longer uptrend in price on the original, but too many burns can cause the floor to dump
