@BoredApeYC just dropped details on the Heavy Metal (HV-MTL) collection. Roll through this overview thread and let me know if you Rock with these little Mechs πΈπ€ (...see what I did there?)
Mech Types, which will spawn from &/or utilize the HV-MTL power sources, were revealed today. There are 8 Types (same as power sources). At first glance, I wasn't blown away but after seeing more (dynamic in nature & significant variation based on traits), I'm a big fan now

HV-MTL is a Mech that is a Dynamic NFT which will evolve (grow and gain traits) based on decisions and actions by the holder. "Skills, personality and roles" gives hints that we will be interacting and using these Mechs in a game or something close to it.
The interactive and Dynamic aspect of this collection is the most exciting aspect for me. RPGs and decision based, interactive video games have always had a special place in my heart; they are like movies or shows....but you get to influence and control the story.
Below is a blueprint overview of the journey thus far and things to come for the Mechs. Jimmy the Monkey swallowed the key and Dookey Dash was needed to retrieve it. Dookey Dash was brought back to earn companions in Toad Mode. Then Power sources were given based on rank.
(cont'd) Today Evo 1 Mechs were revealed. The first ? will likely be "Mini Game Set 1" before we get to evolve our Mechs to Evo2 (the pic of the medium-sized Mech). Then there will be another minigame (or combining with BAKC) before Evo3.
(cont'd) Lastly, a great battle between MechaDogs and MechaMonkeys (MDvMM) will occur. Speculation: My guess is that the Evo3 choice between a minigame and combining with a BAKC will be a choice on which side of the battle you want to be on....

There will be a "HV-MTL Forge". Seemingly a gamified hub of sorts were users will be able to build and customize a workshop that will influence the evolution of their mechs. There will also be competition among the community (leaderboard), special abilities to unlock & more
Here's screenshot of a HV-MTL Forge. Observations: Tile-based building simulator ala Animal Crossing. Fairly vibrant graphics. Two type of currency/materials for building. Per Gary, leaderboard seems to be vote driven (i.e. vote on who has the dopest workshop lol)

There are boosts (likely $Ape spend for a boost in production of mats or decrease in time needed). A "store" likely to spend the in-game currency on items to build. Special events (event log).
In the span of a week, @yugalabs has dropped further details on two projects (Mara and HV-MTL) that share two, large overarching themes that I am personally a huge fan of...dynamic NFTs and gaming. Both Mara and HV-MTL will be dynamic VIA related games. What are you thoughts?
