Arkham announced the first "intel-to-earn" on-chain marketplace.
At the same time, Binance announced the $ARKM token sale, and there'll most *PROBABLY* be an airdrop for Arkham users.
Here's what you need to know: 🧵
Arkham addresses two trends: the high demand for on-chain analysis by various parties and the increasing number of talented researchers in need of a platform to monetize their skills.
This could be a new source of income for @zachxbt@defi_mochi@OnchainDataNerd and others.
The platform uses a bounty mechanism.
Post a bounty, lock funds, and 'bounty hunters' will provide intel in return for the payment.
Bounties can range from locating specific wallets to identifying impersonators, & more.
Purchased intel is subject to a 90-day exclusive access, after which it is shared with the Arkham community.
Multiple users can also contribute to public bounties, granting them access to the data during the exclusive period.
Then there's the $ARKM token.
The Arkham Intel Exchange uses $ARKM tokens to incentivize and reward on-chain analysis.
• Bounties: ARKM tokens are staked as bounties for sought-after intelligence. The first participant to submit verified intel wins the staked tokens.
• Auctions: Sellers can auction off verified intel, with participants bidding using ARKM.
• Staking: Bounty hunters stake 10 ARKM to deter spam.
If their intel is verified, they can withdraw the bounty after 15 days or earlier with a 10% fee.
• Fees: Arkham charges a 2.5% maker fee and a 5% taker fee on transactions.
Arkham will also incentivize Arkham ecosystem with the token.
ARKM Rewards: Users receive ARKM for beneficial actions like referrals or creating research.
ARKM Discounts: Users can earn discounts two ways:
1. Pay-in-ARKM Discount: 20% discount for payments made in ARKM.
2. Holding Discount: Up to 50% discount for holding ARKM, based on the size and duration of the holding.
Overall, it's a new type of monetization and incentive system.
Currently, professional on-chain analytics are done by @chainalysis and @elliptic, but some parts of it can now be done by the community itself by aligning incentives correctly.
