Sonic $S and its Ecosystem are booming!
It's making a huge comeback since the rebranding.
• Sonic crossed $1B DEX Volume
• Sonic's TVL is over $550M
• Airdrop is coming 🪂
If you faded, it's not too late.
Here is a recap ↓ 🧵
I've been mentioning Sonic $S for a while now, both here and on my TG.
I also talked about Fantom a lot before, like many.
It seems like now is the rebirth of Sonic.
If you still don't know what it's all about, here's a recap along with some resources. ↓
What's Sonic?
@SonicLabs is the highest-performing EVM L1, combining speed, incentives, and world-class infrastructure.
You probably heard that a lot already.
Well, this time it's true.
Sonic could actually be the fastest EVM L1.
The Sonic network is able to process over 800 million transactions daily with a sub-one-second finality.
Sonic network’s transaction processing speed is 10,000 transactions per second (TPS).
This is over 500 times the 20 TPS speed recorded on the Ethereum network.
But we know tech is not what matters the most.
First and foremost, Sonic used to be Fantom, an ultra-popular L1 with a huge run during the previous cycle, and a very large community.
And as Solana had its redemption run, mainly fueled by memecoins,
Sonic could have its redemption run, fueled by DeFi.
Sonic is founded by Andre Cronje, a successful DeFi founder.
After some issues with SEC and a break from DeFi, Andre is back in the game fully locked-in, ready to change the space once again.
A comparison with other chains, by @coingecko
Sonic is a Developer-Focused Network.
Designed to simplify the process of building and deploying applications on the network.
Sonic offers developers attractive incentives through Fee Monetization and the Innovator Fund, along with powerful infrastructure, designed for speed, agility, and interoperability.
Sonic Community is strong, there are many developers & more and more dApps.
Sonic DEX Trading Volume surpassed $1B.
With @ShadowOnSonic having the biggest Market Share.
$SHADOW on Sonic launched only a month ago.
It just hit >660k in fees in 1 day.
The price grew by over 20x, but the MarketCap is still quite low, ~$30M.
Sonic $S is a top 50 asset, over $2B Mcap
It's not crazy to think that the first DEX on Sonic, a native DEX, can grow more.
You have many pools with great yield on @ShadowOnSonic
> 150% APR on Stables
Of course there are other DeFi Protocols, feel free to explore Sonic's Ecosystem.
Sonic has a growing Ecosystem
Protocols enjoy building on Sonic.
Here is a feedback of a protocol, Silo, building on Sonic and why it's better than other chains to build on

And Sonic will distribute an Airdrop 🪂
• 200M $S in incentives
• 1 Year cumulative for all seasons
• First season is 6 months
• First season will be 40-60% of the airdrop
• 25% of that airdrop will be liquid $S
• 75% will be a vesting NFT that you can sell
There are 3 ways of earning points.
1. Passive Points
2. Activity Points
3. App Points
The whitelisted assets that you can hold or deploy
$S Utility
• Paying Transaction Fees: Used to pay gas fees on the Sonic network.
• Staking: Token holders can stake through the MySonic platform to earn rewards.
• Network Validation: Validators receive rewards from blocks and transactions.
• Governance: Gives voting rights to token holders to determine the direction of ecosystem development.
$S is also used for liquidity, collateral, and more in DeFi.

I accumulated FTM before the upgrade to $S.
The price didn't react as expected at first.
But Sonic definitely didn't get caught in the spiral of falling price → declining interest → dev leaving the chain → dApps & innovation moving elsewhere.
Sonic dev & community kept building and came back stronger.
Now close to price discovery. 🫡
