Nothing ear stick makes sense, heres why... A thread 🧵
I think for a tech product to be successful it has to have these 3 things, that comprehend each other.
A. Product design and features
B. Pricing
C. Product strategy
A. Fashion design
The fact that it is shaped like a lipstick, and opens up with a twist mechanism, definitely gives it away
B. Fashion pricing
You know, fashion products never have cheap pricing, fashion products are meant to be exclusive. This roughly means that they were trying to move nothing ear stick out of less research of less desirable (or "less rich" if you prefer) customers.
The product is priced high to create a feeling of premium product, this product is only designed to increase their perceived brand value.
C. Fashion product strategy
The fact that it was revealed at London fashion week, and it was first seen in a pouch like design, definitely reveal nothing's marketing intentions
They also partnered up with myntra, the online shopping website which primarily sells fashion products for better visibility, this confirms that nothing ear stick is a tech fashion product and not a successor to nothing ear 1
I think it wouldn't matter much if this product didn't sell that well, it is meant to be exclusive and it will boost the brand value of nothing immensely
