The whitepaper details how the emission rate decreases over time, aiming for a total supply of 36 million $XPB that can be mined. This approach is designed to balance supply and demand while encouraging decentralization.

GitHub Repository Analysis:
• Commit Activity: The repository has only one commit message.
• Documentation: While there's a README.md file, it lacks a description, website, or topics related to the project, making it hard to understand its purpose or functionality

• Languages: The primary language used is Go, making up 89.5% of the codebase.
• Code Structure: The repository contains multiple directories like accounts, beacon, etc., but the lack of documentation makes it hard to understand the role of each.

Red Flags:

Most Significant Concerns

• High Project Funding Percentage: Approximately 11.11% of the maximum supply (4M out of 36M $XPB) is allocated to the development treasury during the first 2M blocks. This high allocation could be a major red flag for miners and investors.

•Significant Allocation in Early Blocks: By block 2M, the development treasury will hold 4M coins out of a total of 14,445,470 coins mined. This equates to 27.68% of the coins mined by that point, which could be a major concern for potential investors and miners.

Other Concerns:

• Limited GitHub Activity: The repository has only one commit message, "code upload," suggesting that the project might be in its initial stages.
• Inadequate Documentation: Both the whitepaper and the GitHub repository lack comprehensive documentation.

• High Initial Difficulty Level: The 1T difficulty level at launch sets a high barrier to entry for smaller miners.

• Limited Technical Details: The whitepaper focuses more on vision and governance rather than providing in-depth technical details.

Final thoughts:
there are several red flags that cannot be ignored.
The most significant of these is the high percentage of tokens allocated to the DEV treasury in the early blocks, which raises concerns about the centralization and the project's long-term sustainability



Additionally, the lack of comprehensive documentation, both in the whitepaper and the GitHub repository, makes it difficult to fully understand the project's technical aspects and governance structure.



Given these concerns, I have decided not to mine @PowBlocks and would not recommend others to do so at this time. The project needs to address these red flags and provide more transparency and documentation to gain the trust of potential miners and investors.

Historically, NVIDIA introduced signature checks to curtail BIOS modding. Their on-die security processor, "Falcon," ensured GPUs wouldn't boot with unauthorized firmware. Until now.

OMGVflash by Veii and NVflashk by Kefinator: ground-breaking tools that bypass NVIDIA's checks, opening doors to GPU modding once believed closed.


Beyond overclocking, these tools offer performance boosts to more budget-friendly GPUs. Often, the key difference between a standard model and its overclocked counterpart is just the vBIOS.

Cross-flashing gets even more interesting: Imagine transferring the vBIOS from one vendor's GPU to another's. But always proceed with caution. Not all pairings are a match made in silicon heaven.

A deeper dive into capabilities: OMGVflash supports RTX 20-series GPUs (and older) for cross-flashing. For RTX 30 & 40 series, the same power headers are a must.

Mining:

• Algorithm: EthashB3.

• ASICs: Preliminary tests with iPollos were inconclusive.

Wallet Integration: #Rethereum doesn’t offer an official wallet yet. However, given its alignment with #Ethereum, @MetaMask can be utilized effortlessly.

Concerns:

Final Thoughts: While I plan to continue my mining exploration, this is a very early-stage venture. Caution and comprehensive research are crucial before any investment or engagement.

Analyzing Rethereum: Reviving the Vision of Ethereum

Ever wondered how much the top 21 POW cryptocurrencies generate in 24 hours? Curious about each coin's market share or which mining hardware dominates the landscape?
Let's dive into the world of #Crypto Mining as of 23 July 2023

After crunching the numbers and analyzing the data, I've compiled a detailed sheet of calculations (see attached). It reveals some fascinating insights about market share of each coin!


ASICs clearly rule the roost when it comes to mining. They are responsible for a staggering 97.83% of all new coins generated in the past 24 hours. But what does this mean for other types of mining hardware?

Despite the dominance of ASICs, GPUs and CPUs have found their niche. GPUs are used to mine seven different cryptocurrencies and CPUs are the preferred choice for #Monero ($XMR), contributing 0.23% to the total new coins generated.

Even more intriguing is #Chia ($XCH), mined with HDDs, contributing 0.94% to the total new coins generated. alone is $20k less than all the GPU returns generated!

In terms of sheer volume, #Bitcoin ($BTC) remains the undisputed leader. It accounts for a whopping 87.76% of all new coins generated in the last 24 hours with more than $27mil in value generated.

Aside from $BTC, cryptocurrencies like $DOGE, $KAS, $LTC, and $ETC significantly contribute to daily coin generation, showing that #Bitcoin isn't the only player in town.

But how does this all translate into market share? Well, the top five coins (BTC, DOGE, KAS, LTC, ETC) account for a massive 96.35% of POW returns.

Meanwhile, smaller market cap cryptos like $DNX, $RVN, $CFX, and others make up around 2.28% of total coin generation. It's a small but crucial reminder of the vast diversity within the crypto world.

One interesting observation is that the amount of new coins generated by GPUs is lower than one might expect. This is largely due to #Kaspa's recent shift to ASICs and #ETC classification as an ASIC coin due to its unprofitability when mined with GPUs.

despite the various types of cryptocurrencies and mining methods, ASICs continue to overwhelmingly dominate the scene, underscoring their significant role in the world of crypto mining.

As a GPU miner myself, these figures are a sobering reminder of the challenges facing GPU mining. The crypto world is dynamic, and with so many coins shifting away from GPUs, it's clear that algorithms favouring GPU mining need to find a way back into the market.

I aimed to diversify following 2 key rules.

First, I avoided coins in the top 50 cryptos to provide room for potential price growth and climbing up the crypto ladder.

Second, I divided my investments between Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) coins, while also considering different sectors.

Virtual Machine (VM) is a software emulation of a physical computer that runs on your existing hardware. It allows you to create and operate multiple isolated virtual environments within a single physical machine. Think of it as running a computer within a computer.

VMs provide a secure and isolated environment for your mining operations. By sandboxing your activities from the host machine, VMs significantly reduce the risk of malware infecting your main system. This extra layer of security is essential in safeguarding your crypto.



Now, don't be afraid of the idea of a server. You don't need expensive hardware or specialized equipment. Any old laptop or PC you have can be easily programmed as a server, and running it is simpler than running your daily PC. VMs make it accessible to all levels of miners.


To get started, one popular option is #Proxmox. its an open-source virtualization platform that offers robust features for managing VMs and containers.

Once you've set up #Proxmox and added the needed ISO flies, you are ready to create VMs:

-  Open Proxmox (web).

-  Right-click the server and select the Create VM option.

congrats you have created your first VM !

Once you've set up #Proxmox and learned how to create VMs, you can take your crypto mining to the next level. Assign each token you mine to a dedicated VM, creating an isolated environment for each. This helps prevent cross-contamination and enhances security.



Additionally, you can assign a separate VM to test multiple new coins before committing to mining them. This allows you to experiment and evaluate their potential without risk.

you can mine #Verus Coin using any ANDRIOD  64-bit mobile device. AArch64 or ARM64 is the 64-bit extension of the ARM architecture family.

While chasing cheap mobiles for mining may seem exciting, it's essential to consider the return on investment (ROI). Investing $90 in a mobile that only mine one coin may take around 5 years to recoup the costs, so keep this in mind before making any purchasing decisions.

Some observations: #Octa's website is well-built but has room for improvement. The Medium page isn't active & website links aren't always functioning. The roadmap seems broad & lacking dates. Using the console requires Gmail registration and the market place is not easy to use.


in sum, mining #Octa, a low-cap coin with a bold roadmap goals, harks back to early ETH days. While it has a known team, it remains to be seen if their ambitious goals can be met. i ll keep mining it with my asics!
