Today I fell at the gym.
Literally.
62.5kg on my back, mid-squat, and I lost balance.
Hit the floor. In front of everyone. 🧵

At first I thought it was just bad form or post-holiday weakness.
But then I looked at the full picture.

During Shavuot, we stay up all night — I didn’t sleep.
Then I slept maybe 2–3 hours the next day.

Even though I had two “normal” nights since, that kind of sleep disruption wrecks your strength.
Your coordination, your balance, your recovery — it all takes a hit.

And today, under load, it caught up with me.

I could’ve left right then.
But I didn’t.
I stood up, reracked the bar, and kept going.
Bench press: 55kg.
Deadlift: 87.5kg.
Not flawless. Not pretty. But I showed up.

No one laughed.
A few people came to check on me.
It reminded me how much of our fear isn’t about falling — it’s about being seen falling.

But sometimes falling is how we learn.

Lesson of the day:
When I wake up feeling truly fatigued, I need to give myself grace.
Not guilt.
That’s how I avoid breaking things — including myself.

We all fall.
But if we let those moments teach us something, they’re not failures.
They’re turning points.

I rebranded from thegeekwriter.com to thegeekcreator.com.
