Retro finance has incorporated some concepts from other well-known DeFi projects such as Curve’s ve-model and Olympus DAO’s (3,3) model

The team believes that the ve(3,3) model will be able to change the attitude of liq. provisioning + long-term token holding


3️⃣ Liquidity pools

Retro will have 2 types of liq. pools at launch - Concentrated liq. pools and Stable pools

Concentrated liq. pools for volatile asset pairs and Stableswap pools for stable asset pairs.

Stable pools will employ traditional ve(3,3) DEX stableswap logic

Concentrated liq. Pools combines a fork of UNI v3’s concentrated liq. Pools + automated liq. Managers

The role of liq. managers is to distribute liq. across various platforms

- Seneca is a omni-chainCDP platform for yield-bearing assets launching on Arbitrum

- Users will be able to borrow senUSD, stack more yield on their yield-bearing assets, earn real yield, and use the protocol-related tokens across all major blockchains

❇️ Collateralized Debt Position

- May be liquidated if collateral value falls under the requirements

- Users can withdraw excess collateral, or their initial debt collateral after repaying the entire debt and no risk


❇️ Apricus Chambers

- Lending pools where users can borrow senUSD against their deposited assets

- Each debt pool is isolated so risk is more controlled

- In the bootstrapping phase, only reliable assets will be accepted (e.g., battle-tested, deep liq. etc.)


❇️ Protocol revenue distribution

Revenue is derived from a few sources such as:

🔷 Borrowing fees
🔷 Interest from open positions
🔷 Share of liquidation fees


At least half of the lending market revenues are distributed to veSEN holders in $SEN tokens

• Token holders can convert to veSEN to share in protocol revenue and have governance rights


🔶 veSEN token

• Obtainable by locking Balancer LP tokens

• Token holders get governance rights to propose and vote on changes for Seneca

• A % of protocol revenue will be distributed to veSEN holders in $SEN tokens

• Upcoming utility of receiving of bribes


🔶 senUSD

• A CDP stablecoin loosely pegged to $1

• Users can take part in arbitrage opportunities: debtors can borrow at a discount to repay loans, and lenders can sell at a premium to earn profits

Seneca has planned multiple security strategies:

There will be an audit of Seneca’s smart contracts by leading security companies, and also regular post-launch audits of its core infra and lending pool strategies

In the initial phase, mintable senUSD will be limited to allow for organic expansion of the supply and enables the team to make tweaks to any possible issues before further opening up to a larger market
