Hai guys, jadi aku mau open mentorship untuk frontend development React.

Namanya 'Revision-Style Mentorship'

Jadi dalam mentorship ini kalian akan membuat 1 aplikasi crud simple  sesuai dengan kemampuan kalian.

Jadi starting point setiap orang akan beda" karena menyesuaikan dengan kemampuan kalian

Setelah aplikasi yang dibuat selesai, kita akan set up untuk 30-60 minute call untuk bahas code practices yang udah kalian gunakan.

Setiap call itu aku akan ngasih revisi apa aja yang bisa diimprove:
Bisa better code convention, nyobain library, react patterns, etc.

Setelah kalian dapet revisi tersebut, nanti kalian bisa kerjain. Setelah selesai akan ada revisi" berikutnya sampe aku gabisa ngajarin apa" lagi ke kalian wkwkwkwkwkwk

jadi disini aku gaakan ngasi materi pake ppt, tapi lebih ngedirect apa yang perlu dicari & bantu" kasi resource.

Jadi kalian juga ngerti cara belajar tanpa dicekokin materi

Jadi mentorship ini akan sangat tailored ke personal masing" dan aku akan menyesuaikan dari progress kalian akan lanjut ke materi apa.

Goal utamanya adalah bisa membuat aplikasi CRUD sederhana dengan code practice yang baik, dan bisa self-directed learning

At the end of the mentorship expect kalian dapat knowledge untuk tech stack ini:
Next.js, TypeScript, Radix UI, Tailwind CSS, React Query & Mutation, Toast, React Hook Form, dan ada lagi yang lain harusnya

+code practices yang biasanya hanya didapet setelah kerjain project/kerja

Aku akan open untuk 3 orang dulu, targetnya adalah orang yang sudah punya dasar react. (Bisa bikin form simple, fetch API)

Codenya akan langsung mulai dari TypeScript, tapi gapapa kalo belom pernah pake

Untuk feenya adalah 50k/meeting, dan di awal akan bayar untuk 4 pertemuan langsung. Supaya tidak no-show hehe

Dalam 30-60 mins meetings tersebut juga bole kalo mau nanya" hal lain. I can give opinion untuk portfolio building

I have this dedicated section on my landing page. 

But what is a mental model in Tech? 🧵

A mental model is something that you can create in your mind when you have an abstract concept.

Most programming materials are all about remembering stuff—syntaxes, code combination, practices

ps: this is my take about the mental model

When I'm learning, I like to correlate.

I usually find something that is easy to remember and incrementally build the imagination to the facts in a material.

Let's try an example

flex-direction: column & flex-direction: row

It's something that easily gets mixed up. You **could** remember the behavior manually. But let's try to create a mental model

Mental Model: excel spreadsheet

When you have a column, you can only add things vertically. 

Because we are adding flex-direction to the container, we are telling the container to behave like an excel column in which we can only lay things vertically.

Now we have something to remember and ask questions to.

When you forgot which you should use, you can rephrase your question into:

Which behavior in an excel spreadsheet do I want? as a column or as a row?

Another great thing is, we only create 1 mental model—an excel spreadsheet—but we can use them for both column and row.

Keep in mind that your mental model must be tested. 
When you bring another concept to your mental model, find something that you can correlate with.

If it contradicts, either you find another one or you separate them with 2 different mental models.

Another thing with the mental model is you don't always have to do a correlation. 

You can also simplify things to a fundamental concept

Here's another example of simplifying React.useState into 3 simple steps and compare them to Vanilla Javascript

Your mental model will act as a guide that you can ask when you're in doubt.
