1/15 So you want to get your loved ones off zero, but they couldn't be bothered less? We've all been there. And even if they understood how important owning some Bitcoin is, the onboarding might be a cumbersome process.

2/15 You have to sit there with them, download a Lightning app, coach them on the app, write down the seed phrase etc. What if you could outsource the orange-pilling process to a workflow that also educates new Bitcoiners about what to do with their newly acquired sats?

3/15 Lightsats does just that. You create a Lightning invoice for your tip. The person receiving the tip scans the QR code or copies the Lightning invoice. This opens up an onboarding workflow and you don't have to onboard the tippee personally on the spot.

4/15 To test the product, I created a gift $5 worth that I will redeem myself with my phone number. You can also redeem via Lightning address or email. This is the view the tippee will see. It's possible to personalize the tip by changing the language, writing a greeting etc.

5/15 As a tip creator, you can follow the onboarding process through a progress bar. If the tippee doesn't complete the onboarding process in a specified amount of time decided by you, the tip will automatically return back to you. No lost sats!

6/15 Once I try to redeem the tip, it prompts me to download a wallet if I already don't have one.

7/15 Once I have redeemed the gifted Bitcoin, I can click "Continue" and start learning about Bitcoin.

8/15 Lightsats provides the new Bitcoiner information on what to do with Bitcoin. Reading materials, guides, videos, trusted exchanges, Bitcoin shopping experiences, Bitcoin games etc...

9/15 As a tipper, I can see in my progress bar that my tippee has become a Bitcoiner!
