Pros of Microdata:

• Directly integrated with HTML content.

Cons of Microdata:
• Can make HTML code messy.
• Harder to manage and update for larger datasets.

2. JSON-LD

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is recommended by Google. It separates the structured data from HTML, maintaining a clean codebase. 

Check out this JSON-LD example for the same recipe:

Pros of JSON-LD:
• Clean separation of data from HTML.
• Easier to maintain and scalable for larger datasets.
• Preferred by Google for its flexibility and clarity.

Cons of JSON-LD:
• Slightly more complex to implement initially.
• Requires a basic understanding of JSON.
