NFTs are being used to disrupt trad ways of bringing creative products to market. One of the more interesting use cases we have seen lately is NFT-funded filmmaking, seeking to disrupt how films are financed, creatively produced, & sourced!
This ๐งต explores this trend ๐:
Since SV's Sapienz mint is all about giving the power to the community to participate in the co-creation process with each other to bring products to life, we are fascinated. We think this trend will continue to disrupt trad filmmaking in serious ways. Some of those include:
Decentralized Rights Management:
NFTs can be used to store & manage rights info for film assets, such as characters, scenes, music, and visual effects, in a decentralized & transparent manner. This ensures that they receive proper compensation for the use of their assets.
New Business Models:
NFTs enable new business models for the film industry, such as tokenized ticket sales, virtual screenings, & fan-owned franchises. This opens up new revenue streams for filmmakers & helps to mitigate the risk associated with traditional film financing.
Interactive Storytelling:
NFTs can be used to create interactive, multimedia experiences that allow viewers to participate in the story & shape its outcome. This choose your own adventure model with film is being deployed by Dominion, the Seth Green & Aoki project above.
These are all ways we see use cases evolving over the next few years in regards to NFTs and the film industry!
