Discover Etherscan's hidden features ↓
#1: Ethereum Gas Tracker
To access the Ethereum gas tracker, go to "More" → "Gas Tracker" in the menu.
This tool helps you find the current prices of different on-chain actions and the transaction confirmation times based on gas price.
The page updates every 15 seconds.
#2: Similar contract search
This one is a must-use for all degens.
Planning to ape into a new token? Paste the contract address here to find similar contracts and check their histories.
To access: "Developers" → "Similar Contract Search"
Helps avoid many rugs, tbh.
#3: Code Reader
In the past, I constantly had to copy and paste code to make use of AI for contract reading.
Fortunately, @etherscan now offers an AI Code Reader powered by OpenAI right in their terminal.
To access it: Navigate to "Developers" → "Code Reader".
#4: Top Tokens
How to find? Just select "Tokens" → "Top Tokens" in the menu bar.
Interestingly, Etherscan allows you to check the number of holders and the on-chain market cap in one place. It's really a nice feature.
And of course, sorting is available here. Enjoy.
#5: Gas usage statistics
Actually a very interesting metric to track after the Dencun upgrade.
To find it: "Resources" → "Top Statistics" → "Network".
Similarly, you can track Hot Contracts.
#6: Ethereum Token Approval
This feature allows you to review and revoke your token approvals for any dApp. Actually, a must-use security feature for active DeFi users.
To access it: "More" → "Token Approvals".
