In the world of Web3, there is an ongoing confrontation between: → Protocols that aim to distribute airdrop rewards to as many individuals as possible, → and Airdrop Hunters who strive to maximize their rewards by utilizing multiple wallets. 🧵 2/12

To ensure a fair distribution of airdrop rewards, protocols analyze on-chain data to identify wallet clusters and safeguard real users against Sybil attacks. But how exactly is this accomplished? Let's take a closer look at the example of Arbitrum. 🧵 3/12

✓ All transactions of the recipient occurred within 48 hours → a debuff. ✓ The recipient's wallet balance was less than 0.005 ETH → a debuff. ✓ The wallet had not interacted with more than one smart contract → a debuff. 🧵 4/12

If you want to fly under the radar of Sybil detection algorithms, follow this advice: ✓ NEVER top up one wallet that you use to farm airdrops from another wallet. This creates a direct connection between the two wallets, so even a lazy Sybil detector will find it. 🧵 7/12

✓ Use CEXes to send funds between wallets and regularly change deposit addresses. Sending funds to the same CEX deposit address is one of the activities pointing our a Sybil address cluster. Use OKX → okx.com/join/46058108 and MEXC → bit.ly/mexc-trading 🧵 8/12

✓ Keep all wallets active and complete the tasks manually. Sybil attacks often involve similar operations executed simultaneously, i.e. batch transfers within a short timeframe, using the same gas value, and similar transaction values. 🧵 9/12

A "real wallet" should have the following: ✓ A balance of >0.005 ETH; ✓ Regular usage on multiple networks; ✓ A history of swaps or bridging activities. 🧵 10/12
