Trolls feast on negativity and hatred
But you don't have to feed it to them
Here are 3 steps to deal with trolls, bullies, and haters without losing your cool 👇
A long time ago,
Vincent Van Gogh cut his own ear off after getting into a fight with Paul Gauguin.
He lost his cool.
You might not get there, but
If you have these 3 steps:
1. Mindset
2. Motivation
3. Meditation
You can go back to "Letting it Gogh" 😉
Let's get into it...
⸺MINDSET⸺
Everything starts here.
If you can't cultivate the right attitude,
You're missing out on something major.
→ Peace of mind.
If you let people rob you of this,
You never had it in the first place.
Let's break down 5 mindsets:
1. No one owes you respect.
This is the number one rule of online commentary.
I don't care what you learned in school.
I don't care what your spiritual guru said.
I don't even care what your mom says.
You're not entitled to it.
It's not given to you.
→ You must earn it.
2. More Fame = More Hate
It's just a law of thermodynamics.
How can you want to grow your personal brand and not realize this comes with it?
A mob of people who hate what you represent and remind them of?

3. Take ownership of your actions.
If they're tripping, you pushed them.
Good content grabs your attention, holds it, and forces you to pick a side
It does not make you an oversimplified deceiver.
It makes you more persuasive.
Don't shy away from what you believe in.
4. You're doing something right.
Focusing on a few negative comments from some keyboard warriors?
What about all the people you're positively affecting?
Don't forget about them because of what is a small percentage of the overall.
A leader will know to make the right call.
5. They pull you down because you like it.
Why would you waste your time, attention, focus, and feelings on negativity?
These are your precious resources.
Do you like doing that to yourself?
I didn't think so.
Don't allow people to have power over you like that.
⸺MOTIVATION⸺
"Ignore them!" they say.
But why?
→ To keep your peace of mind.
Positivity cancels out negativity.
But you can't use positivity to fight back.
So here are some options.
Depending on your brand,
Try these 4 out:
1. Work on your thinking skills.
Critical thinking will always have your back
When I wrote about them in a viral thread, it caught a ton of negative attention.
Funny enough, a lot of the hate came from people not using critical thinking.

2. Smile and laugh.
If you know, you know.
There's no point to take take any of it to heart.
Does what they say mean anything less about you?
No?
Then laugh.
It makes them even crazier.
Which honestly boosts your stats in the end.
3. The block buttons is your friend.
YES. YOU HAVE THE POWER.
I don't know why people have to ask for permission.
Did they ask for permission to tell you what they thought?
No? Right.
Even if you don't want to block, you can:
Mute
Hide replies
Leave conversations
Easy.
⸺MEDITATION⸺
Anytime you have a bad feeling,
Ask yourself what's going on *underneath.*
If you have limiting beliefs,
You need to call them out, put the in place, and move on with your life (and your next piece of content).
Here are 5 prompts to help you do that:
• Do I care about who I authentically am?
→ If yes, proceed. If no, stop reading.
• Where am I holding back my superpowers and passions so that people won't feel intimidated by me?
• What about my life would change if I had complete trust in my gifts and abilities?
• Where in my life do I feel confident, despite what I've achieved or what people think of me?
• How can I design my life so that I feel happy, motivated, and inspired?
If you're not working on your mindset, your motivation, or your meditation...
The swarm of negativity WILL get to you.
So don't forget:
→ Surround yourself with friends.
Friends who will be truthful with you.
And friends who will defend you.
They will have your back.
