Clutching year wrapped last moment. LFG!!!!
2024 has been the most fulfilling of all, every month was so much different from other, left my job, started @callusfbi, moved apartment, got a lil doggie and so much more.
Here's my 2024 recap🧵
Jan started with a crazy @makerdock_ reunion, all the friends got together with only goal to make "2024 the best year of our life."
We all got fully onchain again after two full years of bear run, started experimenting with products, diving deep into consumer crypto, and started looking for ideas to build on.
We started getting the rush again, the rush of building stuff, the rush of waking up for a token launch, the rush of seeing chaos in the crypto market again.
All fun and stuff but deep down we all wanted to build something long-term and that sparked the idea of @callusfbi (our bet on consumer crypto).
What is @callusfbi - A group of builders, creators, and traders to hang together and do awesome work in consumer crypto.
We did our first-ever hackathon in BLR which went nuts and officially marked the start of something magical.
17th March - my birthday. What I did? Went to a short trip to Manali with my friends ( @AkshitVrma, @RahulDesignWeb3 and @hritiquerungta)
It was first time for me touching ice in India after living there for 24 years. First time to mountains in India.
April started with a bang. I joined @cryptothegame_ (Heard of squid games? This is the web3 version of that), and the best part was I made it to the finals.
I was one of 10 people out of 250 who reached the finale for the final prize of 80 ETH ($250,000 - life-changing money innit)
Did I win? Naaah, but I made a ton of friends from all over the crypto industry there. I also launched an NFT collection that everyone loved.
Apart from CTG chaos, friends came to Dubai for Token2049. We saw the maddest rain here in Dubai.
May was the toughest for me. Finally, I planned to quit my job - yes, a very high-paying job in one of the top crypto company. The main reason was to focus on @callusfbi full-time and take it to the moon.
I did one last parting trip with friends to Bali and Thailand. Actually, the trip wasn't good; all I did was sit and work on @callusfbi while making my friends wait for me. But you gotta do what you gotta do.
June-July was again heads down building @callusfbi.
Meanwhile, I moved my sister to Dubai and shifted to a very comfortable 3BHK apartment that I am very proud of. After moving to so many cities and homes, this is where I feel at home and I will be happy to spend the next few years in peace.
Also, launched @deq_fi which I have been working on for a long time. From then to now we have done over $3.5 million of TVL which is crazy.
BTW remember Crypto the game? That game created a mark in my mind. I wanted to recreate the experience for @callusfbi and that started Based Games. Our version of CTG for the base community.
I teamed up with @KP2kpx (who is a rockstar btw) and launched Based Games - a 7-day PvP game.
That week was tiring; probably that week I slept for a total of 15 hours, but what it created was above and beyond what we ever thought.
August was all chaos with Based Games so I took a small break in September to go to Udaipur with my parents.
Probably the first trip where I was paying for everything, so I tried to make it the best for them. Booked the best possible hotel I could, had the best meals, and took them everywhere they asked.
It was very fulfilling; also, Udaipur is beautiful.
Family is good. Work is good. What about health? It was going to shit. I was ballooning to 90kg weight with almost zero exercises and three months to 2025.
Do I want to be the overweight one again in 2025? Nope. Got a Whoop, started fasting 18-6, went to the gym five days a week, started playing badminton every other day, and the results finally showed up.
- Went from 89kg to 81kg in two months
- Average heart rate went from 85 to 72
- Resting heart rate went from 72 to 63
Still nowhere close to buffed, so a lot of this in 2025🏋️♂️
November was the most wholesome of all.
After sending over thousands of dog and cat reels on Insta, I finally got a dog - His name is Chiyo, and he is adorable (Photos probably don't do him much justice)
December first week I flew down to Bengaluru to attend ETH India. With @callusfbi, we did around 30+ events in 6 days. It was all insane, and I'm super proud of what we did there.
Probably December was the month where I started believing fully in the idea of a larger community, what impact it can create.
So 2025 is going to be the year of FBI and us scaling it to the next level.
Rest of December has been mostly about thinking about what I want to do in 2025, so probably:
- more coding (which I started this year and am getting very hooked on)
- more gym time and weight loss
- making @callusfbi the biggest community on Ethereum
- more tweets like this
2024 was great, probably the best, but the goal is to make every year better than the previous one, so here we go!
