The upgrade will go live on June 6, 2023 16:00 UTC. OP mainnet will be offline for 2-4 hours during the upgrade.

3/ How Does it Affect Traders on Perp?

Due to the upgrade, Perp’s clearinghouse will go offline on June 6, 2023 15:30 UTC. During this time, you can’t do any deposits, withdrawals, liquidity actions, or trades. The operation will resume within 30 mins following the upgrade.

4/ Do I have to close my positions?

You don’t need to close your positions before the upgrade. Trading and liquidation will be paused during the upgrade. The mark price will adjust to the market price after the upgrade, so you won’t get liquidated once the system is back online.

5/ Get ready for the upgrade!!

Traders should keep their account healthy (with leverage below 2x-3x) before the upgrade. If your margin ratio is less than 50% and you have open positions, you should consider add more collateral or close your positions before June 6th 15:30 UTC.

6/ When will the upgrade be done?

7/7 Post upgrade

In theory, the gas price should go down by 47%. However, you might face high fees due to traffic when you transact post upgrade, so be careful.

@perpprotocol hot tub is an innovative way to earn on your $ETH or $USDC by using an efficient arbitrage algorithm on Perp and other DeFi platforms. You can deposit your funds in a vault and relax in the hot tub while it generates returns for you.

2/9 ♨️How it works?

$USDC vault in Hot Tub makes money by arbitraging $ETH prices on Perp and Uniswap. It buys spot ETH on Uniswap and short ETH on Perp in one transaction when the ETH Perp price is higher. It sells ETH on Perp and closes the short position when prices converge

3/9 Wanna earn in $ETH instead?

That’s where the $ETH vault comes in. It uses a similar arbitrage strategy but with a different direction. Vault sells ETH on Uniswap when it’s higher than Perp and long ETH on Perp when it’s lower. It closes the position when prices converge.

4/9 ♨️1 week of Soakin'

The arbitrage txn for both $USDC and $WETH vaults triggered more than 10 times a day which is quite impossible to execute manually and without automation.

5/9 Now let's talk about the performance since the inception. Please note that the vaults' performance may not indicate future results.

6/9 Have you checked out the USDC vault performance lately? It's been doing great since its inception on March 17th,2023. The USDC vault made 137 USD cumulative profit in the first week! That's a pretty sweet return (7.12% APR) for a stablecoin.

Powered by cutting-edge tools, Teahouse Finance is a DeFi platform dedicated to providing secure and flexible asset management through "Strategy Vaults".

Strategy Vaults are similar to traditional funds, where users deposit and forget, with the additional benefit that assets in Teahouse vaults are managed securely on-chain.
Each Strategy Vault runs a different algorithm, provided by inhouse and partner strategy managers.

These strategies run on mainnet and Optimism, some are available to the public, others are for Teahouse HighTable NFT holders only. Strategies are classified into low, medium, and high-risk to match the user’s risk tolerance.

 What is the minimum deposit size?

Reply:
There is actually 🙅‍♂️no minimum deposit amount. We  give users flexibility with their assets. Most strategies run on a weekly basis, meaning that users can enter/exit once a week.

1/ Starting from December 2022, holders of vePERP (also known as locked PERP) have collectively earned more than $300,000 in fees through the weekly distribution of USDC sharing.💰💰💰

2/ The question at hand is the origin of the yield.

To put it simply, the yield is generated from the trading fee, and based on the current payout structure, 15% of the trading fee on PERP v.2 will be distributed on a weekly basis.

3/ The rising trading volume on @perpprotocol since December 2022, as indicated by the rolling 7-day average, is definitely a positive development. This growth has led to an upswing in the weekly fee.

4/ As the fee distribution rises, more people want to lock their $PERP to be eligible for sharing of this fee. Currently, 17.9M $PERP out of 66M are locked (as of March 16th). Increasing locked $PERP while trading fees constant leads to reward dilution.

5/ Prior to locking your PERP, it is essential to assess the future growth of trading fees generated by PERP v.2. If you are uncertain about future developments, you may want to consider partial locking or varying locking periods as part of your risk management.

6/ To maximize their share (% ownership) of the weekly reward, a vePERP holder may aim to lock the highest amount of PERP for the longest period of 52 weeks.

The more PERP that is locked, the higher the proportion of the weekly fee that one is entitled to receive. The accompanying chart presents the fee that a vePERP holder can expect to receive as a reward from last week (March 9th), assuming a 52-week lockup period

The longer period that PERP is locked, the higher % ownership on the reward. The accompanying chart presents the fee that a vePERP holder can expect to receive as a reward from last week (March 9th), assuming a 10,000 PERP lockup

9/ The heat map below illustrates the expected $USDC with respect to the lock amount and period for vePERP during the last week. Note that this is a one-week reward without LOCKED PERP REWARDS. Keep in mind that this map may no longer be valid in a week's time when things change.

10/ 📌 Claim frequency

There are many factors related to claim frequency, people claim their staking rewards for many reasons but for the re-investing aspect. The lowest amount of gas fee and the %APY for re-investing should be considered. Rule of thumb: Gas Fee < 3% of Rewards

11/ Suppose that the cost of claiming, swapping, and re-staking gas is $2.5. To apply the 3% rule of thumb, the minimum reward should be calculated as $2.5 ÷ 0.03, which equals $83.

3/ Earlier this year, the $OP token was listed and became available as collateral for trading. The team has provided hints suggesting that more collateral assets and listings are incoming!!, with wstETH and GMX possibly among them. Keep an eye out for updates.

4/ Admin key timelock

Perp plans to add a time-lock feature to delay contract upgrades and give our community time to review changes before they go live. This improves security and transparency, preventing sudden changes that could harm user funds. #transparency #rugpulls

5/ Index Price Fallback Oracle

Perp intends to incorporate Uniswap's index price feed as a backup to Chainlink's in the event that Chainlink's oracle encounters a disruption.

6/ Mark Price for Liquidations

An important upgrade. The outdated TWAP oracle's pricing mechanism will be substituted with a fair price model that takes into account both the market price and an index to prevent price manipulation and enhance response to market conditions.

7/ Other proposed upgrades for the protocol aim to bolster its resilience and security, including:
- Position Transferring Liquidations, the risk of liquidation cascades can be mitigated
- Implementing a Soft Circuit Break to safeguard user funds and prevent insolvency
