Here's what you need to know when you start on @Sorare.
Don't make those mistakes! β οΈ
Noob guide ππ:
utoob has your back for the basic basic intro topics. Let's nerd out about some fast-track strategies.
When you register, you can pick your three favorite teams. Don't just take your degen underdogs. You want the best teams' cards, so take the strong ones. You can take your degen clubs regardless if you believe in karma like me.
There are 4 scarcity levels. Each season/each player. Yes, each season, a new player card! But that's good, adds to the game logic.
Limited - 1000 Cards - yellow
Rare - 100 Cards - red
Super Rare - 10 cards - blue
Unique - black (1 card icymi)
Cards with more scarcity are more powerful and can give you more rewards from real-life football results.
You should buy what you know. Don't swipe the floor on any Swiss Cheese league. Choose the league you know best. #Sorare nfts perform better if players score in real life. Players' prices are also based on their talent (future potential to earn yield).
Pick a few leagues you can follow.
DYORrrrrrrrrrrr. Check out @SorareData. It saves you a lot of money and pain. If you donβt like data, pls run awayβ¦.
Suppose the best market offers (floor) seem low for a player?? but they're actually high on @SorareData.
Typical fish mistake....like this, the Sorare degens are dumping on crypto bros.
Check the average market price from the last 2 weeks and it might be much lower than the current floor.
It's especially important for rare cards, where the lowest card is still way overpriced.
Make sure you don't get sucked into hyped players (Cardano rule). It's possible to fabricate sudden spikes in prices.
There are a lot of bots out there, it's part of the game. You don't have to buy the top. FUD yourself if a player's value has gone up 10x on @SorareData.
Go for the players who aren't much talked about right now or have gone through an injury or bad transfer.
Make counteroffers, and negotiate. It's okay to make a lower offer; 10-15% lower is fine. Get on Discord, connect with the manager, talk about it, and make it a bazaar.
Set reminders for your team's midweek and weekend games. You should set up your team every Tuesday and Friday morning.
The points, aka rewards, are lost if you miss that. When your player isn't playing or injured. Put him to training, he still gains XP.
Make sure your players are trained. If you train them, they get a boost. Experience also counts, it ranges from 1-20.
For each level upgrade, you get a bonus on points. You get XP for scoring goals and being in your line-up. It's important to train, go to mix->training.
All your players can be entered here. Train your players, don't let them rot. Gain XP points here, no rewards. Make sure you register all your players, even injured ones and those who aren't playing.
Bonuses are also based on the season in which the card is minted. With scoring and training, it takes 3 years to reach level 20. There's a 0.5% bonus for every XP level.
The new season cards (most recent cards) have a 5% bonus (Fidelity bonus). Strategy could be buy older cards but with max XP = 10% max XP bonus vs 5% bonus for new cards.
You get a 20% bonus on your captain. So pick the right one.
Start with Limited cards and Limited leagues.
All-Star League - you can enter all eligible players. A team of five is required. GKs are the most expensive, every IRL team has only one. 5 MF. GK are more rare/scarce. You can add players from around the world to the All-Star league.
Under 23 League. Players must be under 23. -> blue badge. They're more expensive under 23, and they 80% or so lose value as they get older.
Champion Europe - top 5 divisions from Europe.
Challenger Europe - all other leagues
America - all leagues from continental America. Brazil, us etc.
Asiaβ-Asia. (cheapest currently..but you knowβ¦β¦..)
If you've got a small budget, try this.
Research cheap Asian players that score a lot of points and then enter the All-Star league with them.
Here you get really good player cards (as rewards) from all over the world and from big leagues.
If you only play in the Asian League, you'll only win Asian League cards (same with under 23). This might be your hang if you love scouting.
More games, more rewards. If there are a lot of games in a game week. Buy players well in advance and dump them before the game week starts when everyone is FOMOing about participating.
Keep in mind that the World Cup is in 2022.
What kind of risk is there imo?
Each player costs money. It's just a game, it might have a bug or be out of style.
The UX isn't really my cup of tea. However, the game is so good that it doesn't really matter.
If your Ronaldo leaves the club game universe, the value drops. There are all the big leagues in the game, so it's mitigated imo.
NFT cards don't have much value if the frontend's down. There's no DEX game yet, but you can redeem them.
Switch on 2FA.
Bots are a reality.
Enjoy the sorare journey.
Disclosure: I work for StarkWare; we scale Sorare with #StarkEx. I honestly love the game and have a bag of Asian goalkeepers and my favorite Swiss players. I'm buying more players soon.
