Simplifying Notion Databases.
When you're first starting out, the @NotionHQ Database can be a little puzzling. This thread will help you understand what Notion Database is and how you can use it to create some awesome things. #notion#notiontwt
There are 2 types of Notion Databases.
(Explained in detail in the next tweet)
Inline Database
Full Page Database
Full-page databases are ideal for managing extremely complex relationships that necessitate greater concentration. In full-page databases, you cannot add new content above or below the table. A full-page database can easily be converted to an inline database.
Inline databases can coexist with any other type of content. Including them in documents is a popular application. You can convert an inline database into a full-page database. Your inline database will appear in your sidebar as a subpage of the page it is on.
Database Properties:
We can add basic & advanced properties to our database to provide context for them, such as due dates, task owners, relevant URLs, last edited timestamps, and so on. Also, we can apply these properties to our data to filter, sort, and search it.
Within a database, there are six different ways to visualize your content. Here's a high-level summary of each layout.
Table layout: This is the most common way to view a database. It displays your dataset as rows of pages, with each property represented by a column.
Board layout: This view categorizes your items based on their properties. Use it as a Kanban board, for example, to move an item through the stages of a process.
Timeline layout: Use your database to plot projects on a timeline so you can see when they're happening and how long they'll take to complete.
Calendar layout: Shows your items according to their Date property.
List layout: A simple, vertical layout of your items that allows you to open them as a page with a single click.
Gallery Layout: Use your database to display images in a gallery layout. You can customize your gallery to display images from the Files & media property or content from within each page.
That's all folks.
