Recently I’ve used @bitrefill  in conjunction with v4v.app and the Hive based dollar to buy gift cards. Today I used it to buy some books on Amazon. So in other words, the blog writing on peakd.com has begun making me a bit of money to buy stuff 

This beats my other long term sideline, stock photography by a zillion country miles! Talking of which I did make a sale last month both on Alamy and the other on Wirestock (the second there). 

Both sales were for a very small amount and I don’t see this cash until I hit a threshold of 30 or 50 dollars. So this just throws it into perspective. Hive fits my needs better. If only more people knew about it. 

I had heard Scaler 2 that’s been available in VST format for awhile has just been released for iOS and I’ve never used it before. Many of the mobile music guys here on Twitter and YouTube are very excited about it. The iPad is fast becoming a truly great mobile studio. 

I use it for all of my photography editing. I love LumaFusion for editing video and over the past year or so have got heavily into @j_liljedahl super app AUM for trying everything together. 

I’ve a MacBook that’s barely in use right now. Will I upgrade the iPad or Mac. Not just yet but when I do, it’ll be the iPad and I’ll go for the bigger screen model with M1 chip or whatever is going at the time. 

Anyway I digress. I shall be getting Scaler and will tell you more about it. My list of appd to play with is growing!

Excited to have joined @BritishCanoeing  this week. Got our waterway licenses and will explore as many as we can. We’ve got some  free time this weekend to go for a paddle. Not telling you where because every time I’ve done that the location has been packed with people!


I am planning on writing more here on Twitter about coding, history, photography, kayaking and synth music. Why do I have so many strong interests? Why can't I just be obsessed about gardening or something.... talking of coding, I've recently been doing a lot of work with VueJS

Not version 3 of the framework but version 2. We started off with one product written in React and the other in Vue. We decided that we preferred the latter and so we set about rebuilding. Learnt a lot along the way.

There are other skills to lear and keep refreshed along the way, not just Vue but ESx or in some cases TypeScript, which I've not yet touched upon.

Thanks for reading and tomorrow I talk about planting some courgettes - well we have already done that but that is another story.

Too many interests!

I've never seen a community Orchard like this before. I don't know how long it's been here for but what a fabulous idea. Deardon Field #shinfield #berkshire - we'll revisit later in the year to see how it is.

I highly recommend the brilliant Red Lion Pub in Mortimer West End. They do these, where you cook your steak on a super hot rock. It’s great fun and the meat very good quality. 

It was a strange moment yesterday when I was looking for a good example of nuxt-leaflet being used in a Nuxt app. The example I came across on @codepen was built by a Russian developer with the map being based on Moscow

@LeafletJS is a mapping library for Javascript developed by a Ukrainian, it seemed kind of weird that this example I found was written by a Russian!

This time last year I wouldn't have thought twice about it. However it does remind you that normal people never wanted this war to take place. Solidarity in code? I sure hope so.
