Introducing @ConstitutionDAO, a project to "rescue" the Constitution from the hands of private collectors, and put it back into the hands of The People.
WTF is going on? š
In September, @Sothebys announced they were going to auction the only copy of the Constitution still in the hands of private collectors.
This Reuters article surfaced in our feeds yesterday, and we started joking around with "aping into the constitution"

After playing with the idea for most of the day, we ended up jumping on a Zoom call, and things got real. šÆ
We decided to form @ConstitutionDAO, a decentralized organization with the mission of putting this shared good back in the hands of the people.
It's happening. š„
We've been working non-stop for the past 24h, chatting with pretty much everyone: investors, lawyers, museum administrators, degens, etc.
We also created a Discord community to organize efforts and let anyone contribute, which has risen to 2k members in just a few hours. š
We're also working under the clock! The auction is in 6 days, and the estimated price is around $15M to $20M (probably much more!)
If we're going to pull this off and prove to the world that crypto is about much more than collecting JPEGs, we're going to need your help. š
