I have another announcement to make! In the coming weeks, I will be leaving @CellRepMed to become one of the Leading Edge Editors @CellCellPress. A short 🧵
@CellPressNews
A special thanks to @DrSaraHam for bringing me into the editorial world and allowing me the leeway to explore and find my niche.
I also recall her saying, “you’re not obligated to join Twitter.” Whoops. 😆
I love our inaugural cover. I realized then and there that @CuriousDrKris had a special talent for distilling a thousand words to one picture.
I also want to thank the innumerable authors, advisory board members and peer reviewers I worked with over the last 2.5 years. And also everyone from EdOps and Marketing, particularly for their patience with my never ending questions. 👏
I’m enthused about the prospects @CellCellPress and all the new colleagues I will work with! Leading Edge Editors work on Front Matter (Perspectives, Commentary, Reviews, Voices etc.) — those are the manuscript types I found myself gravitating to while @CellRepMed.
…Particularly those that dealt with the nexus where social forces collide with science, medicine and public health.
To me, Front Matter is where a journal sounds the voices of its communities and thereby its own.
As I wrote about elsewhere, we’re operating in a tough time. But, I am looking forward to helping authors share their voices to inspire science, promote health, foster #dei, counteract misinformation, protect against the misuse of science and advocate for change.

Excited for this next chapter @CellPressNews and all the new colleagues and authors I will meet and work with. And, hopefully, I can help Leading Edge to keep bringing it!
