🧵 Here's my personal routine for better sleep, a refreshing wake-up, and starting the day with good vibes:

In order to have a good morning routine, you need a good night routine.

You can't have one without the other.

My secret weapon?

A smart alarm clock.

I previously used the Phillips SmartSleep...

but after 3+ years of daily use and knocking it off my tiny nightstand, its lifespan came to a close.

I recently invested in a Hatch Restore,

and I have to admit I am in love with this smart clock.

It seems like a silly investment - but let me explain.

Using a gradual light alarm clock can simulate the sunrise, gradually increasing the brightness of your room as morning approaches.

This not only helps you feel energized in the morning but also regulates your circadian rhythm for better quality sleep at night.

Plus, this clock has the ability to set a "wind down" routine at night with a timed light + optional white noise to help you fall asleep.

I use this option to sit with a book instead of scrolling on my phone & the results have been phenomenal.

I'm asleep within 30-60 minutes.

Studies show that exposure to bright artificial lights during late evening hours suppresses melatonin production which interferes with our ability to fall asleep easily and stay asleep through the night.

Reading a book > getting caught up scrolling online.

Researchers that people who reported being in the presence of birdsong or birds reported experiencing better moods, relief from depression, and other mental health benefits for up to eight hours after hearing birdsong.

That's why I set my alarm as birdsong with gradual light.

I live in the mountains, and open my windows every morning to hear the birds.

If you don't have access to IRL birds, find a playlist on your favorite streaming platform.

The easiest mood-boosting hacks for your morning and night routines.

1. Gradual light in the morning
2. Reading at night instead of scrolling
3. Birdsong as soon as you wake up for 1 hour

Morning and Night Routines for a Happy Life

Are you caught up in a spiral with Pluto's retrograde out of Aquarius and back in Capricorn?

Take advantage of this backward motion and seize the chance to tie up loose ends. 🧵

Those of you with early degrees of Aquarius and late degrees of Capricorn are going to feel this transit the most.

We have Pluto bouncing between the Saturn-ruled worlds of Aquarius and Capricorn.

Rebirth, reformation, and reconfiguration are strong in our realm.

With Pluto, it's easy to get caught up in the mishaps, shadows, or inner struggles that might unveil themselves.

It's important to remember that there is only so much within our world of control.

Sometimes, it's best just to forfeit the need to grasp things.

Pluto moving back into Capricorn gives us the opportunity to see where something might have been missed.

Or wait for an opportunity to come to fruition that we can now see is necessary when we look backward from our current standing point.

When the planets move backward, its a subtle reminder that even the planets move backwards too.

It's okay when we as humans take a step back.

Sometimes hindsight is 20/20.

Pluto's aspect in your chart can lead to transformation in various aspects of your life such as your living situation, financial outlook, and self-perception.

If you do have placements that directly aspect the early degrees of Pluto in Aquarius - it’s nothing you haven’t gotten through before!

Retrogrades give us the opportunity to revisit situations. With Pluto, it's usually a deeper or more unconscious level of necessary growth.

With Pluto aspects, they might be a tad uncomfortable, though, just remember that you've been through this transit before!

This isn't anything to be caught up in, just aware of the subtle nuances and opportunities that might arise.
