Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

Monkeypox cases are spreading rapidly through our community.🌈 Monkeypox causes severe, painful lesions, especially on the penis/butt/anus/rectum.
Public health comms thread; trying to be as medically accurate and clear as possible. Feedback 👍
Image thread.
We need to act as a community to slow this infectious disease and protect other vulnerable groups (like children and immunocompromised) from getting it. Get vaccinated and be safe.
You do NOT want monkeypox. It is extremely painful for several weeks and can even be permanently disfiguring and scarring to the face and genitals in some people.
Monkeypox can have a few different appearances depending on skin color, course of the rash, and location on the body. Here are just a few examples.
I have seen many more graphic and intense examples on genitals.
NYC: 1,100 cases. SF, LA, Chicago all have >200 confirmed cases (but probably many more). Almost all are among gay men and our sexual networks.
There are probably already thousands more cases that are still undetected since it can take 1-2 weeks to develop any pox.
Monkeypox spreads mostly through close, intimate & sexual contact with people who have been infected (but may not know it yet).
Condoms might help protect you from the worst pox — especially ones on the penis and butt/anus/rectum and mouth. We’re still learning more.
You can have an infection for a week and have ZERO symptoms. After this, some people will have flu/COVID symptoms for a few days before any pox/rash show up.
If you have fever and headache symptoms, it could be COVID or early monkeypox (among other things). Swollen lymph nodes in particular may indicate monkeypox.
Other people may only have pox and never a fever. Some people will only have 1 lesion. Others will have many.
The pox typically last 2-3 weeks and then scab over, and then fall off. Scabs might still be able to transmit monkeypox. We’re still learning about this.
Testing is available for monkeypox, mostly through your local and state public health departments.
There is a vaccine available, but it is in very high demand right now. Best way to find it is searching for your local county health department’s webpage on Monkeypox, or your local hospital.
The vaccine is a 2-part series; you are only somewhat protected until you have 2 shots a month apart (+2 weeks more). Many are giving first shot only because of limited supplies.
The vaccine works really well, but does not make you 100% IMMUNE to monkeypox, just less likely to get it / get it severely.
Most vaccine is being sent to the parts of the country with the most cases right now. (There is still a shortage, we are trying to get more ASAP.)
Tell partners if you develop pox or have the early symptoms like flu/fever/headache or enlarged lymph nodes!
The *safest* thing you can do? Avoid hookups and multiple partners, especially until we know more and have more people vaccinated.
And talk openly and honestly with partners and symptoms.
As always, messaging like this is hard to get perfect and make applicable, educational, and relevant, esp as science changes frequently. None of this is meant to shame or stigmatize, and if you already know this information or would like to contribute, please DM!
