It may be worth remembering that the “Alliance for Science” (then at Cornell University) once listed the possible lab origin of COVID-19 as one of the top 10 COVID conspiracy theories. It was all supposed to have started as anti-China nonsense propagated by The Epoch Times.
The “Alliance for Science” still platforms the usual suspects (Garry, Andersen, Worobey, Pekar, etc), describing a lab-origin as a conspiracy: @DrJBhattacharya @thackerpd @USRightToKnow Sources archive.ph/aKGU3 allianceforscience.org/blog/2020/07/heres-how-scientists-know-the-coronavirus-came-from-bats-and-wasnt-created-in-a-lab/
These did not age well. Maybe using one's brain could have helped. x.com/search?q=from%3A%40ScienceAlly%20leak%20or%20Wuhan&src=typed_query&f=live
