It may be worth remembering that the “Alliance for Science” (then at Cornell University) once listed the possible lab origin of COVID-19 as one of the top 10 COVID conspiracy theories.
It was all supposed to have started as anti-China nonsense propagated by The Epoch Times.
The “Alliance for Science” still platforms the usual suspects (Garry, Andersen, Worobey, Pekar, etc), describing a lab-origin as a conspiracy:
