I have finished translating a historical document about the first transfer of the Rimini prisoners of war to Liverpool, in May 1947. Bohdan Daszak, Peter Daszak's father, was one of these and is mentioned multiple time in that story, written by one of his friends from the camp. The Rimini camp held the members of the 1st Ukrainian Division (ex Waffen SS Division 'Galicia') who surrendered in 1945.

👉🏻 The SS-Galicia is a difficult subject, which must be handled with care. Please do not go and jump to conclusion too quickly. Here is an excellent short article on the transfer of the Waffen SS Galicia to England, by Denis Hills who was directly involved in it as a screening officer. google.com/url?q=https://drive.google.com/file/d/10ICWPw5lAPTJcZ-9JSAT5t8372kvtwv5/view?usp%3Dsharing&sa=D&source=editors&ust=1744980643673089&usg=AOvVaw3KD_YOo5FrLqdCWAXsOeG_
Grok has a reasonably balanced summary too. x.com/i/grok/share/tge9kGNbhKqYe0lv4jX73ORAv For more links, see my notes at the front of the translation document.
Here is the 1987 issue of Сурма́ч where this document appeared. Сурма́ч ("Bugler”) was a magazine published by the Association of Ukrainian Former Combatants in Great Britain (London). Other issues mentioned Bohdan (Богдан Дашак) too. drive.google.com/file/d/1xOvJLVqYsTQHgesON-UQRlV2kTDQ9FZi/view?usp=sharing
