2/6 I was quite shocked when I first saw that figure, with the dangling illegal China claim to the South China Sea which added absolutely nothing to the figure!

3/6 By the way, that's also the paper that was retracted and republished at the same time without the Laos samples, so as to not have to publish the reviews of the attempted Addendum.

4/6 Why?
Because the Laos samples were illegally sampled via a quick trip across the border, without any authorisation and no PREDICT default IACUC (required when a local one is not available).
That was done under Metabiota before China got transferred to EHA portfolio, and EHA did not notice these.
