1/10 I just spent the last few hours checking the FOIA data for the Boeing 737-800 crash of Mar 21, 2022.
The data is available on NTSB website (docket DCA22WA102).
Got some quick processing and analysis done with Sonnet 4.6 and DeepSeekV4 flash.

3/10 There are some interesting aspects to this story.
For instance I can't make any sense of the fact that apparently the US did not keep some copy of the CVR (Cockpit Voice Recording), given all the pain they took to recover it and copies they would have needed.

4/10 Also, note that apparently, the FOIA was filed by a Chinese citizen! Well done.
There is some interesting discussion 1 day before the 2Y limit after which the NTSB has an obligation to answer FOIA, even if China has not release its report, whatever China wanted.

5/10 I also quickly produced compressed OCR versions of the FOAI PDFs.

Four years later, China still has not released its official report.
But remember: disclosure may endanger national security and social stability.
The pattern should be familiar by now.
