I really, really, hope that voters show-up in Nov to fight back against  #SCOTUS horrible decisions on #GunViolence and #abortionrights. BUT Here's something I'm not hearing a lot about. These rulings might also energize the Rs and far-right.

If you're winning, and I'm sure they would see these decisions as such, you don't STOP and go home. Guess we're done. NO. You press your advantage, Rs and far-right leaning voters might come out in HUGE numbers in Nov. So not do we need to show up, we need to show up BIG!

Why Dems need a tsunami in 2022

Some side-arm, un-talented punditry about the #2024elections. It's way to early to start talking about them, I know, we need to get through the very real and very important #2022midterms first. But a thread anyways...first starting with Trump and @elonmusk

I think just yesterday @elonmusk said something to the affect that he'd #reinstatetrump on Twitter.  Like many others I think this is dangerous as Trump will use the platform for inciting violence and threats against those he does not like. I'm in favor of more free speech. But

I'm not sure that I like the idea of Elon Musk or really any ONE person defining "free speech" for the rest of us. Now it's very possible Elon doesn't end up buying Twitter and it's possible Trump won't come back on Twitter. BUT I think Trump and his allies would not pass up the

free marketing that #twitter offers for the 2024 elections, which Trump is totally running in. It's clear from his rallies and his endorsement of candidates that he wants to run and wants to win back the Presidency. That's fine it's his right to run. What I fear is that

most ppl will forgot the havoc that Trump laid on our institutions &amp; our economy. Just b/c the price of gas is too high. It certainly is too damn high, along with the price of everything else. I fully blame Joe Biden &amp; the Dems for not doing everything they can do stop #inflation

problem with anyone going after Trump. It will be great, he will come in, do a really through investigation. We'll find hard evidence of #russiancollusion, and Trump will have to resign, if not just get removed from office. OR at least it will be so that Trump can't run again

But that didn't happen, and it won't happen. We have to do the hard work. Look at what's going on with @RepMTG and @CawthornforNC , these despicable "leaders" who should not be able to re-run for office aren't getting stopped. So the only way stop them, and stop Trump

is to SHOW UP. And I know you're like, show-up for what, the Dems. They suck. And they do. Seriously the Democrats are just useless. BUT and this is an important BUT. another 4 years of Trump won't be any better, and the really scary part, is that Trump won't just go away this

time. There's now way Trump just accepts the term-limit and goes away. It will start with him making "jokes" about how he was mistreated during his first term and how b/c the #2020 election was #rigged that he should remain in power for another term. And guess what, the

Republican party will absolutely back Trump up, he's been able to get away with everything b/c it should be clear to everyone by now that the only think folks like Mitch McConell and others want is power. They don't want what's best for the avg America. So what's can you do?

You need to show-up and yes it's gonna suck but if we can stop Trump from winning in #2024 there's a good chance the Republicans won't let me come back tin #2028 and at that point, well he's an old man, so the problem should take care of itself.

Elon's "Free Speech" and the 2024 elections

I have been so distracted today by Democrat's failure to #DeliverForVotingRights. It was always going to be a hard sell, but they are actually making it impossible for themselves to win in future elections? Like what?! A thread rant, if you like...

What's worst, the more the Dems talk about getting rid of the #filibuster without actually doing, it will simply make it easier for Republicans to get rid of it. For whatever reason Mitch McConnell doesn't want to get rid of it, I suppose it helps with his

obstructionist form of govt. However what's to say the next Republican Senate leader won't? And what's more won't do it with the justification that the Dems were trying so hard in #2022 to do it. Within the next 10 years the #fillibuster will be gone.

The dems seem to just be getting in their own way, and refusing to get anything accomplished. If there are not major changes to buttress #VotingRightsNow they will surely lose in all races and that will put in Trump loyalists for #2024. What happens then?

Well my guess is that Trump and his Republican-led-House and possibly Senate WILL pass a #VotingRightsAct. Only it's going to empower those already with lots of access to the polls. It might also create a national electronic voting system. You know

one that can't possibly be hacked or used to steal the election. What's more there will probably be a provision or carve for Trump to run again in #2028election. Why? Well, he was treated so un-fairly when he won in #2016election, and why not also let him run in #2032?

Because he was according to him and so many Republicans the #2020election was stolen, so he really needs a re-do of that as well. Republicans will gut the #fillibuster if it means passing some perverse #VotingRightsAct that gives them power FOREVER!

One might hope that the wide-divide between Trump and McConnell might mean that McConnell is un-willing to get rid of the #filibuster for Trump's sake. And maybe that's true. But someone else might do it, and I'm not willing to bet anything on McConnell. He's proven time and

time again that all he really cares about is POWER. He's not interested in upholding US democracy. His politics and personality are what has allowed us to get to this point. And what pave the way for politicians like Trump, @tedcruz and @HawleyMO

Changing gears a little I want to focus on the other BIG #failure of the #BidenAdministration and that is NOT passing their signature legislation: #BuildBackBetterAct. Yes I know it's all really @Sen_JoeManchin 's fault. BUT

There was a 1.8Trillion dollar deal that Manchin offered to @JoeBiden last year and Biden didn't take it. When the last hold-out gives you a deal that everyone else can swallow you take it and run. Now there is the reality that the @AOC-wing of the house would NOT have voted

for this package b/c it didn't give them this or that. BUT you can apply a lot more pressure to house members than to senators and I think it could have gotten done. At least it would have been a matter or polishing? Not sure. But that's all Washington politics.

I want to blame here. B/c I am upset. B/c there are a lot of things that needed fixing, and that were up to #Biden. And why I voted for him, since the primaries. I thought he would get stuff done, with this long-history of govt't

But #biden has been failing left and right. He needed to and promised to get #BuildBackBetter done, he promised to get #VotingRightsAct done, and he promised #infrastructure done. He  has ONLY delivered on #infrastructure. That's it

Trump made governing look easy, b/c he wasn't trying to solve any problems. But he projected strength to his base and always, always kept them happy. #biden has been bumbling and fumbling the #COVID response

He's not doing (and possibly can't do anything) about the rampant #inflation, and he can't seem to get anything done on #votingrights or his signature package. The dems are mostly likely going to get crushed in #2022.  Even if they get #BBB done

it's too late. What ppl are noticing and feeling are the high cost of gas, and groceries. I'm sure the benefits of #BuildBackBetter won't be felt for another year or two. Perhaps, it help #biden get re-elected but that looks really doubtful. With the way

things are going, even if Trump is the republican candidate in #2024, I'm not sure Biden can win. I would still vote for #biden over Trump. That has been I suppose Biden's other accomplishment. He BEAT Trump.

And he really did. There was a historic turn out and Biden really BEAT Trump, by millions and millions of votes. However, in the battleground states, Biden only wins by the 50k in total. Maybe it's a bit more but maybe not.

I don't think we are getting that historical #turnout again. And from #2016 we know that a low turnout election will help TRUMP, as his base will show-up no  matter what. Plus they'll want revenge for having the election "stolen" from him in #2020.

Biden's odd of winning in #2024 are crap. And if he dies and it's Kamala vs Trump. then Trump will definitely win. Kamala isn't popular and she's not gonna get more popular overnight. Plus sexism AND racism. So yeah I don't think she beats TRUMP.

The ONLY way that a Biden-Harris ticket can seriously compete with all the lies and BS that trump and allies are going to spew coming into 2022 elections and 2024 elections, will be to get shit done. They need to get #inflation in check.

They need to get #BuildBackBetter act done NOW! They need to get #VotingRightsAct done NOW. NOW. NOW! That is key to any victory in #2022 which might, just crack the door open for #2024. Otherwise we are looking at Trump and trump and trump. And US democracy dies.
