ChatGPT can now understand images!

I put it to the test on my recent (re)tweets.

Prepare to be amazed by these 5 mind-blowing examples:

Firstly, I tested it on a recent meme. Surprisingly, it was able to detect everything.

So, I went further and didn't really ask about what is in the picture, but why it evokes so many emotions. And once again, the results were pretty amazing.

Then I went a bit further and acted dumb, pretending that I had no clue what the chart was about. Well, once again, the result was pretty epic.

This bubble chart is quite unique, so I wanted to test it out. ChatGPT did well but switched the 4th and 5th positions. However, I am still amazed.

And then, I pretended to be dumb once again and asked what asset the chart could potentially represent. And ChatGPT correctly said BTC.

Long story short: This feature changes how we work with information. I am excited and terrified at the same time.

I'm loving the new DEXs with a CEX feel.

While most focus on UI, it's liquidity that will make or break their success.

I've tested every DeFi API out there. Here are my top 3 favorites:

1. @definedfi
2. @dexguru
3. @unmarshal

Here's what I'm looking for:

- Extensive chain coverage (3-5 chains won't cut it)
- Reasonable pricing
- Versatile functionality (swaps, wallets, tokens info, chain info, etc.)
- Degen-friendly (I want info on all tokens)

Now, let me break it down ⬇️

Best API by far: @definedfi

- They cover ≈50 chains
- Rich free tier (50K requests/month and 5 requests/second)
- Rich limit (for most endpoints 200 results per request)
- Complex information about everything (tokens, swaps, etc.)
- The cleanest data out there

Second best: @dexguru

- They cover the most popular chains
- Rich endpoints covering info about wallets, chains, LPs, tokens, etc. -> rich use cases.
- Unique wallet categorization for swaps (you can see a similar thing on Dexscreener now) -> it allowed me to build this ⬇️

Third place: @unmarshal

- They cover approximately 20 chains.
- Unique complex information (e.g., profit for wallets).
- Rich free tier (they are limiting it a bit starting in Sep).
- The only API that I found that would give me, in one request, the list of 25K tokens.

If you need data only from the major chains, then APIs from @MoralisWeb3, @AlchemyPlatform, @Covalent_HQ, or @Bitquery_io are perfect too.

I've tried all of them and they're all great. It just depends on your use case.

If you need general DeFi data, I would go for @DefiLlama, @coingecko, or @MessariCrypto.

I have been using these three for my charts that I share on Twitter all the time.

If you want complex data with visualization tools, then try @DuneAnalytics or @flipsidecrypto. They both provide APIs as well.

Flipside now offers a unique tool - you can combine Flipside data with, for example, DeFi Llama. Pretty epic.

If you like @dexscreener or @DEXToolsApp , you can use their API too. It is very limited, but could be useful for your use case.

Furthermore, @coingecko introduced recently their new product - @GeckoTerminal. Check it out. Their API is the best out of these 3 options imo.

If you want to index data yourself, you should check out @graphprotocol, @SubQueryNetwork, or @subsquid (my personal winner).

There are more options, but these three stand out in my opinion primarily due to their extensive coverage.
