Thrilled to share that I'm joining @weights_biases as an AI Evangelist.
Now, before you hit RT and congrats, you may ask: What does an AI Evangelist do? What's W&B? What about @thursdai_pod, Targum, and can I hook you up with some free wandb stuff? ๐งต ๐
First off @thursdai_pod -> It keeps going, stronger than ever, the X spaces, the newsletter and podcast, every week, on #thursdai.
As I'll be onboarding to @weights_biases, I will add content to the newsletter for the things that I've learned that week, and will learn in public
Starting @thursdai_pod opened doors I couldn't even fathom. Chatting with open-source legends, paper authors, CEOs, AI wizards from big companies and partying with OSS orgs ๐ซก
Most importantly I got to meet listeners from Argentina, Croatia, Germany, Portugal and all around ๐
One of the main things I tried to do on ThursdAI since it started, is to show folks that it's ok to get excited about AI, learning & staying up to date together, and how low the barrier of entry is now for many new folks!
And that's where AI Evangelism comes in ๐
I couldn't have picked a more aligned company than @weights_biases for this mission, you may not know this, but the WandB product was used to train & finetune every big LLM (besides google ๐) including GPT-4!

And it's not only LLMs (which are newer), Weights & Biases' product was used to model better drugs in trials by Pharma companies, to smartly apply pesticide only to weeds by agriculture companies, and for driverless cars, among just about anything else ML and AI related! ๐๐
I also haven't met 1 person who didn't like the team, and I've asked a LOT of people, during @aiDotEngineer and @openai Dev Day for example.
Everyone has at least 1 person they know and love on the team, whether it's @morgymcg , @carey_phelps, @lavanyaai and others!
However, not everyone have heard of WandB, most of my engineer friends don't have any idea who they are and what they are doing! ( I sure as hell didn't until a few months ago!)
And they should! (and that's where I come in!)
So I'm super super excited for @thursdai_pod to continue and now will have a stronger backing and I can assure folks it'll be here to stay!
And I'm also stoked to meet tons of new ML folks and chat with them and connect the dots between AI engineers <> ML practitioners
Regarding targum.video :
As the founder, I love having paying customers and testing new AI startup ideas on prod.
Unsure how long I can sustain it, considering exploring @microaquire ( @agazdecki ) or open to ideas here (DM)
I just want to stop doing taxes on it ๐
