Approach to Systems Engineering
Systems engineering is not an end in itself; it serves as a tool for addressing and resolving issues within processes.
By first identifying the shortcomings of current results, teams can then leverage systems engineering principles without necessarily labelling their efforts as such until they fully understand its application.
This approach allows organisations to focus on problem-solving rather than getting bogged down by terminology or methodology.
Systems Engineering, like every process, should not be a goal itself!
Identify issues with our current results, and then suggest the SE approach to solve these issues (if it does!). Don’t call it SE, until they know what they are doing.
