What do you do when you have something that you have nearly killed yourself over, kind of literally-more on that later…

However, the one person that you open your phone to tell when it is the utmost is the one who elicits a spark, a feeling, or something different. 

You held fast for months, telling yourself that this was just the next lesson; however, you did welcome all the pain and suffering required to complete the last leg of your voyage, so how dare you allow yourself to feel the occasional twinge, right?

How do you persist in strength as it sets in that maybe you are being taught once and for all that we are meant to traverse some distances alone? 

But I am finding that I am so used to being the light for others that without the reciprocal kindling from her closeness, my light dims as I struggle to smolder.

It is always darkest before dawn and like its metaphorical counterpart, your fire within dances no more right as absolute darkness descends on your world. So you face it alone in the cold, where warmth used to radiate magically.

🎉 As my birthday draws near, I'm reflecting on the whirlwind of this past year and the strength it took to get through it. I keep glancing at the show in my calendar for Sept 19, the day before my birthday, dreaming of a night filled with laughter and inspiration from @AnnaAkana in Milwaukee.
