Tendance 📢 Notre rôle, c'est de vous raconter des tendances françaises, mais aussi de celles de pays étrangers dont vous n'auriez peut-être pas entendu parler. Aujourd'hui, l'Inde est à l'honneur avec un certain Goldy Brar qui prend la responsabilité de beaucoup de choses.
En mai 2022, Sidhu Moose Wala, un rappeur et homme politique indien, est tué. Personnage assez controversé, il était par exemple critiqué pour avoir fait la promotion des armes à feu dans ses chansons.
Quelques heures après son meurtre, un gangster du nom de Goldy Brar poste un message sur Facebook pour revendiquer le crime. Le criminel fait partie d'un gang indien mené par un homme appelé Lawrence Bishnoi.
Ce qui a étonné les gens, c'est le choix de mots très formel du message : Goldy Brar explique en indien "prendre la responsabilité" de l'événement. Une formulation qui finira par être détournée dans le meme dont on vous parle aujourd'hui.
On voit alors des gens imiter des écrans d'alerte info en disant que Goldy Brar "prend la responsabilité" de quelque chose. Ici par exemple, le succès de Brahmastra, un film indien sorti en 2022 et le plus populaire à travers le monde depuis la pandémie de Covid-19.
Ou ici avec le fameux gros leak d'images de GTA VI, qu'on ne présente plus.
Si l'événement ayant donné naissance à la tendance a eu lieu en mai 2022, celle-ci ne devient populaire qu'à partir d'avril 2023 lorsque des comptes Instagram commencent à utiliser le format.
On note d'ailleurs que les memes sont assez marqués culturellement puisque c'est une tendance indienne (tout comme nos memes en France se basent beaucoup sur des actu françaises). Ici, le BJP est le parti politique indien de droite nationaliste.
La tendance sort même d'internet et finit par devenir une sorte de réplique chez les jeunes indiens (un peu comme notre "c'est quoi ce poulet" ou "que les ptits ouuuuu").
Plus que des petites blagues, les memes sont aussi un témoin très important du monde dans lequel on vit. Souvent liés à des sujets politiques ou d'actualité, ils sont un vrai reflet des grands événements que vivent les pays.
