1. Start with a clear introduction that explains the purpose of the thread. Write a kickass hook for the reader to invoke curiosity. You want them to open your thread.

2. Use numbered or bullet points to break the thread into logical sections. Make it easy for your readers to follow your line of thought. No one opens Twitter to read blogs.

3. Keep each tweet concise, focusing on one main idea or point. Simple, to-the-point statements will help keep your readers' attention till the last tweet.

4. Use appropriate hashtags to make the thread more discoverable. This is often missed. I've been guilty of this too. Not using #hashtags can reduce your reach drastically. Use tools like this one to help you with it. mention.com/en/instagram-hashtag-generator

5. Use images, GIFs, and other media to add visual interest and make the thread more engaging. Try to find something that drives your thread's main idea. That doesn't mean you can add a picture of your dog... Actually, you can. Everyone loves dogs 🐶

6. Use threading tools, such as TweetDeck or @typefully, to plan and organize your thread before you post it. I like to use @typefully but feel free to choose any other tools available online. I use the free plan, but you can upgrade to get cool features like auto-retweet, etc.

7. Preview your thread to ensure that it flows logically and reads well as a single unit. Share with some of your friends before posting to get their opinions on your thread. @typefully helps out with that too.
