For context, in my real life once upon a time I wrote a book (attempted to write a book...it was actually a word omelet) on cognitive enhancement.
But that isn't why you should listen to me, because that would be a logical fallacy called "argument from authority"

Okie Dokie, let's get into the brain boosting:
1. Learn Faster.
The next question is probably...HOW?
First, you must identify the mode of learning that works best for you (auditory, visual, reading). Then, you can use technology to get the info into your brain quicker.
🧵/3
If you are an auditory learner, you can download an app like Speechify, which is a text-to-speech app. You can upload books, whitepapers, URLs, etc into it and a voice will read the text out loud.
What's more, you can also increase the speed setting.
🧵/4
The Chrome extension "Read Aloud" also does this for you on the web. It will read whatever web page or PDF you are looking at, and you can adjust the reading speed as well.
For auditory learners, you can learn at 1.25, 1.5 or even 1.75x speed!
🧵/5
If you're more of a visual learner, then take advantage of Youtube's feature (in the video player settings) that controls playback speed.
For all other players, on PC there's the Chrome extension "Video Speed Controller" that allows you to control speed on any video.
🧵/6
If you prefer to read, then you'll want to leverage Bionic Reading. This converts text to strategic partial bolding that helps eyes recognize letters faster.
You can convert text on their web converter here: api.bionic-reading.com/convert/
Or use the app Reeder 5.

2. Optimize Comprehension
Consuming information faster is only one slice of the cognitive pie. You also want to optimize your brain's ability to "digest" this info.
Do this with a learning hack - read/study/learn for 20 minutes, then do a physical task for 10.
🧵/8
Switch back and forth between study and physical (exercise, sport, whatever) every 30 minutes. 20 min study, 10 min physical.
You'll rapidly move through even the most complicated subject matter without the need for much repetition.
🧵/9
3. Nootropics
Otherwise known as "smart drugs" this is essentially chemically induced clarity or focus.
There are many herbs and vitamins that are mainstream nootropics: lions mane, cordyceps, B vitamins, etc.
🧵/10
Medicines used to combat cognitive decline (typically in the elderly) or sleep disorders can also be used as powerful nootropics.
Noopept
Pramiracetam
Oxiracetam
Provigil
Just to name a few.

4. Meditation
Yes. It really works.
It's been studied many times and there is a growing body of evidence linking meditation to improved cognition, memory, and executive function.
🧵/12
Not only does meditation boost brain power, but you can use it to become somewhat superhuman as well.
Heard of Vim Hof? The dude has total control over temp control and some immune responses in his body. That's because of a meditation technique he practices.
🧵/13
Ok, how does this stuff make you better at investing tho?
Boosting your cognitive abilities so that you learn faster, learn better, and learn more gives you an almost supernatural edge on acquiring new skills.
🧵/14
Acquiring the skill to trade, training the patience to trade, and programming your subconscious to trigger intuition while trading are all byproducts of using these methods to hack your mind while learning how to invest
